I miss Mitch too. He is as passionate as any Cardinals fan on this board. He is well versed on the game of football, (few on this board have his coach's eye). He is a gifted writer, and his posts are well supported, even if they are not in step with everyone on the board. What I like most about him is that he is true to himself without ever being hurtful to anyone else. He has never stopped being a CARDINALS fan.

Ditto.

Did I miss something?? Did someone rip him apart again that would have driven him away from the board?? :(

Those comments that the Cards would have lost to Seattle with Skelton are ridiculous especially when you consider how many times the Cards came from behind to win with Skelton in 2011.

Just like the childish comments some are posting in this thread about Mitch are ridiculous.

Yep.

While we're at it... where the heck is Harry? Hope he's well and enjoying the team's recent success! I always look forward to his posts and would love to hear what he thinks about how the team is playing.

Mitch, like everyone else who posts on this board, is occasionally wrong with his assessments. I always enjoy his posts though because he always puts a lot of thought in them.
The Cards are in rarified air right now and I know he's enjoying their success along with every other Cardinal fan. I'm hoping he shares his thoughts here with us soon.

Mitch has some crazy ideas sometimes, but his analyses are probably the most thorough and interesting on the board. Hence why he gets threads like this dedicated to him whenever he doesn't post them.

You dont find it odd that when we finally have a complete game from beginning to end with almost nothing negative that can be complained about that he is all of a sudden a ghost with nothing to say? Yet he is clearly logging in and reading?

I sure do??

Mitch is the guy that keeps me reading his post even if I completely disagree with him. He puts so much effort into his posts that I can't stop reading them. He must have some type of football background to be so knowledgable. Years ago (I can't remember which Cards' site it was) there was a guy who had the username of Walter. His posts were remind me of Mitch's.

I'm still waiting for K9's "Have you seen me lately" post where he shreds Ryan Williams and Housler again.

look, I'm as much a darksider as anyone else, but it's just funny how neither Mitch, nor K9 show up with their established threads bashing the team after a huge, pretty complete victory.

K9 has been on here posting pretty positive things. Relatively. :)

screw that guy!

just kidding. I just thought it would be funny if we saw a "I SAW THEM!" thread from him, but he'd never start an actual thread where he had to admit a good thing about people he's just completely trashed (although he can keep completely trashing Bradley... has the dude even played ONE snap?)

I asked K9, haven't seen a response, who gets benched so Bradley gets on the field?

Agree. Duckjake wrote about how some of these comments are childish but I always thought Mitch's continued whining of Whiz was childish. Now that the Cards are 3-0, her can't complain so he stays quiet instead of praising Whiz.

Also, do some of you really believe Skelton was going to rally the Cards against Seattle? He was playing horribly that second half, he had no confidence and even some here were saying to bring in Kolb in the game thread. In my opinion, the team looked lost and needed some kind of boost.

The team is undefeated and looking like a playoff team. I will support the entire team and if Skelton is the starter in a few weeks, I will be supporting him and the rest of the guys, including Whiz. It could be a lot worse, we could be Brown fans. Then the b*tching would be warranted. :)

Finally, like everyone else, I enjoy reading Mitch's posts. I might not agree with him all the time, but that is what makes a great board. If everyone agreed, it sure would be a boring forum. Could you imagine if everyone agreed on the P&R forum.

I love Mitch's write ups. Always have. But he needs to heap the praise just a s well as he dishes out the bashing! JMO

I should've posted that. It would have been funny. I've been on the board, did my weekly film breakdown, etc., etc. Phrazbit started a thread in the aftermath of the game with the "Have You Seen Me?" title that got so buried so quickly that I didn't want to resuscitate it. I did put a cheap shot in on Stewart Bradley in the Coach's Film thread, because that dude blows.

For Mulli - How bad much Bradley be that his cred with the front office doesn't get him snaps ahead of Reggie Walker--the undrafted free agent? Hot garbage. Because he accepted a lower salary to play this year, and he'll be released and we'll only be stuck with a bunch of dead money next year, I can't really bag on him too hard.

I was really impressed that Schofield, Williams, and Housler were contributors last week. I didn't want to call attention to myself by starting a thread that was about me complementing them instead of letting their performance speak for itself.

FWIW, I was much more impressed with Schofield than I was with Williams, and I was still mildly disappointed in Rob Housler and his 2 receptions for 18 yards--Jeff King numbers.

Rashard Johnson is my current Huckleberry. That guy is the Stewart Bradley of draft picks.

Yea Schofield showed up..1 sack 4 tackles and 2 assists.. was all over the place..hope its a sign of things to come and the knee is getting better. Saw he was limited in practice again this week.

Just for the record, according to Football Outsiders' somewhat rickety snap counts, Reggie Walker (8), Vonnie Holliday (11) and David Carter (4) all found snaps in the defense on Sunday. Stewart Bradley barely saw the majority of snaps on special teams (52%).

oh yeah... you get no beef from me over Johnson. Dude's a waste of space out there. As to Bradley... well... I'm still with ya too there and was when we signed him. But the bottom line is, who the hell can he/should he even replace at this point? my old whipping boy Paris Lennon has been pretty damn solid in this scheme and t seems like every LBer we bring off the bench, makes plays.

it's weird... we ACTUALLY HAVE linebacker's for the 3-4 defense finally! and depth on the D-line with Eason, Holliday and Carter... and in the secondary. So freaking weird. Man, this D is truly loaded.

Yup. Now I'm stressing offensive depth though. Snyder's been playing hurt since preseason, and the coaching staff apparently has a beef with Jeremy Bridges for some reason. We're looking at sub-Marcel Shipp depth behind Ryan Williams at RB, our TEs are all injured right when we realized that they were allowed on the field...

...If we weren't looking at a terrible Miami offense this week, I might be really worried.

You're looking at it the wrong way with Housler IMO. Look at the rate of production from 0 to 1 to 2 catches. 3 games from now he's going to catch 16 passes and then you'll have to be nice to him. :D

What bugged me about Housler in the Eagles game was the damn missed block on the 3rd down run by Williams. Those are the things that keep him from getting more snaps. It's really obvious that teams don't worry about King or Heap downfield and they at least are aware Housler has downfield speed(they don't scheme for him I admit).

If Philly had somehow rallied in that game his missed block would have been a huge play.

Philly, but yeah. I'm more confident from watching film in having Early Doucet out there on a running play than Rob Housler. Housler's problem wasn't one of technique--it was one of effort. He looked like he was trying to do-si-do with the defender on that play.

I've seen Doucet straight-out cream some fools on crack-back blocks.
