Which Marion trade would you prefer?

Which Marion to the East trade would you rather have?

The Griz used to be in Vancover and the Hornets were in Charlotte; both moved.

BTW, am I the only person who thinks it is strange that Jazz play in Utah, knicknamed the "beehive state" and the Hornets play in New Orleans?

Great.

i'd do a Jamison/Young trade over anything there, and i dont know if i even like that trade.

we would get an expiring contract in Jamison, who's still extremely productive. Young would give us a nice young SF/SG to help build our core

Trade 6.

Marion for cash and future considerations. :)

Hahaha. Don't forget about those lovely draft picks Sarver loves to hand out alongside his players on draft night. I'll revise your trade:

Spurs Get:
-Shawn Marion
-Unlimited Future First Round Picks

Suns Get:
-Cash
-A Leather Sofa

The irony of that snide proposal is that you could never get that. No one has ever been willing to give up $16 million in cap space AND give future considerations. What's worse, it would not get the Suns more than an MLE to spend and thus you could write off the current season.

Marion is far more valuable than KT, but he's also twice as expensive and has two years on his contract. IMHO, to actually get rid of him without taking back bad contracts would have cost a lot more in draft picks than it did to move KT.

How can this be? Marion is better than Lewis and he got a deal for $117 million. Lewis is perceived as a big time scorer and Marion isn't. Marion is properly compared to guys like Prince making half as much. We've known he's overpaid since he got his contract and could only "sold" at a loss.

Marion is a big part of the current Suns team with skills that cannot easily be replaced. But the fantasy that he can be traded for value is just a fantasy.

You are right. If there was a way to get rid of Marion for nothing, Sarver would have found a way to do it by now. :)
