If there was a year the Cards may trade up, this could be it. Keim said the roster is going to tough for rookies to stick. That said, if a player they like a lot slides to say, #13-17, what player would you be willing to make the move to acquire. I'm guessing the price would be #29, next year's #1, and a later round pick.

To me, there are really only 3 guys that I would make a deal. Myles Jack, Vernon Hargreaves for sure and Darron Lee.

Jack would be a huge impact to the defense and I'm starting to come around on Lee and the athletic ability he brings to the table. Those 2 could be huge for getting an inside pass rush from ILB and also for containing/shadowing Russell Wilson.

Hargreaves, Badger, and PP would be the best secondary in the league within 2 years.

No way I'm giving up a 1st rd pick next year.

I would trade up into the 2nd or 3rd or even 4th rd.

I'd luv to have any of those 3 Jim, but the reality is we don't have enough ammo touch Jack & probably Hargreaves unless we dipped into our 2017 stock.

With that said, I'd surely do it for Rankins or Lee if they got in the 17-20 range.

Reggie White, Ray Lewis, Deion Sanders... I don't see any of those guys in this draft........If I did,...I would trade up to get him...other than that?? Quarterback is the only position you mortgage your future to acquire.

Noah Spence. Been watching the Senior Bowl today---his speed and bend on the edge are first-rate, and the way he explodes like a cheetah after the QB when the QB goes on the move is made to order in playing Russell Wilson and Cam Newton.

I would love to get Spence too. Just hard to predict how far we would have to trade up. If we could add him to go along with Jones that would be a major upgrade from last year.

May not have to trade up at all for him. Teams are definitely weighing the risk/reward when it comes to him. And, lately, those type of guys have had pretty significant falls on draft day.

One injury to Chandler Jones and we're back to no pass rush without blitzing. Therefore I think it's imperative we grab another one early. Okafor, KMart, & the other humps at OLB have never been able to generate consistent pressure without help.

I've been trying to find that one player worth a trade up I'm not seeing it yet this draft has a small handful of very good prospects and a ton of avg/good prospects gets to a certain point why waste next year's draft picks when there could be a very simular player 5 picks later

Don't really see anyone in that range (#13 to 17) the I would give up two #1 picks (this years and next years).

I like your logic, so I will apply it to even a greater level... one injury to Patrick Peterson, our corners have no depth right now

I don't think thats greater. A pass rush can help you cover crappy CB's more then Good CB's can cover for not having a pass rush. We've seen the end result of that last equation too many times.

I'm not trading up for a CB so...Shaq Lawson, Vernon Butler (because you may not have to go too high), and maybe Jack of Buckner if they fell.

The tough part about a 3-4 DE is their is a limit to the pass rush impact they can have. Jack would be a no brainer if there wasn't any concern about his knee. I think Lawson will go to Tampa Bay, but if not, I could see moving up 10-15 spots for another pass rusher, especially one with the motor of Lawson. I think Butler translates just as well to the 3-4 as Buckner does so moving up 10 spots would be more feasible.

I guess they might get up to 16. Likely would hold off to be sure their guy was there. Not sure who they could be targeting if this is real. Maybe Jarran Reed drops.

Yeah. I would go in tiers.

IN the top 10, who would I trade #29 and Michael Floyd for...
Jalen Ramsey (not happening)
Deforest Buckner
Goff and Wentz (not happening)

16-25 for #29, floyd, and a 2nd rounder back
Myles Jack
Jarran Reed
Vernon Hargreaves
Vernon Butler
Eli Apple

and this is based off of known info...any other personality stuff could limit the list even more.

Behind you
Jalen Ramsy - AMAZING CB - reminds me of PP ...simply an animal at the position

Vernon H - Another GRRRREEEAAATTT CB

Both are worth handing over a pick for

other than those guys...no one IMHO

Nobody. And what would we give up? Next years 1? No. This years 3rd leaving only 1 pick I'm the first 2 days? No. If anything we are trading down again. Which is good by me. The way Kiem has been pimping how valuable the extra 5th year is for the first rounders are makes it obvious he's selling it.

I'm sure you would make those deals. Problem is there is no GM from other teams who would make those deals with you. If you look at the trade value chart, you are basically saying Floyd is worth the #28 overall pick in your first deal for the #10 pick. Floyd isn't worth a second rounder, never mind a first.

Your just looking at the picks. That 2nd rounder is actually Chandler Jones. Just like we'd still have a 1st round pick this year, just much earlier. So, while it sounds like a lot saying we gave up 2 #1's, in actuality we gave up one #1. Plus, we'd be essentially trading the equivalent of two 2nd rounder, 29 this year and 32 next year, to move into the top half of the draft. I would be okay with that.
