Teams to match with a QB that seems perfect for that city. Don't be concerned with where they are drafting. Just where each QB would fit perfectly in a certain uniform playing for the city/team.

Browns
Giants
Cards
Jags
Steelers
Broncos
Chargers
Saints
Bengals
Jets
Dolphins
Bills
Ravens

QBs to pick the perfect city for:
Josh Rosen
Luke Falk
Mason Rudolph
Baker Mayfield
Lamar Jackson,
Josh Allen
Sam Darnold

I can easily picture this scenario (and I know Cards' fans will hate this):
NY Giants - Josh Rosen - seems like the perfect NY bright lights sort of guy, perfect model and hero sort of celebrity
Jacksonville Jags - Luke Falk, scouts love his accuracy which would fit perfect game manager along with Jags awesome D
Pittsburgh Steelers - Mason Rudolph, perfect Big Ben substitute, would be surrounded by talent like he was in college
New Orleans Saints - Baker Mayfield - perfect winning situation with great RBs and new young D, and Brees to learn from at first.
Denver Broncos - Lamar Jackson, big arm, wide open run and gun image that fits the Broncos and Elway.
Baltimore Ravens - Josh Allen, a big clone replacement for Joe Flacco
Cleveland Browns - Sam Darnold - perfect place to make mistakes while learning and perfecting his craft, building a winner with all those other young Brown draftees

Where do Cardinals fit in, you ask? I see Cards acquiring Smith, Flacco, Dalton, Bridgewater or one of the Vikings QBs. They will wait on gambling on one of this year's later round QBs, considering they may be in better position next year's draft.

Great post, until the whole "wait another year" nonsense. I won't speculate because I don't know nearly enough about the teams or the QBs coming out. I want us to target whichever QB the team views is 'the guy' and go get him.

I'm firmly in the Mayfield camp, but he's not going to be available at 15. Today has been rough and I'm going to stream of consciousness here for a bit. I'm no expert by far. but the way I see it right now, I can think of 4 options:

1) Somehow get Kirk Cousins on the roster
2) Trade up into the top 5-6 picks to secure a real prospect QB in the draft, then sign a competent stopgap QB (Stanton, Smith, etc.) to attempt to stay competitive. This QB will take the hits this year since our line will probably be terrible with having to trade picks to move up. I find this the most likely scenario, but we will be giving up draft picks and possibly a young defensive starter like Riddick, Golden, or PP in this trade. You've got to invest if you're going to yield. Unless Keim is a magician, I don't really think Mathieu is trade-able.
3) Draft linemen on both sides in the draft at every pick, spend 2018 developing them while tanking to secure a top 2019 draft pick. This is not Bidwill's way, and Phoenix has had enough tanking for awhile.
4) Completely implode.

Our defense, ownership, and fans are too good for options 3 and 4.

the draft is an interesting beast... Watson fell last year, partly because at 6'2" he is a bit undersized for an NFL QB

Baker mayfield is shorter than deshaun watson and there are more quality prospects in this draft. He could well slide to the 15 spot.....hell, happened to Aaron Rodgers...

between now and april every team in the league will dismantle and inspect their rosters from top to bottom, look at all the available free agents,..and even make some prognostications about who will be released after the draft...and they will run hundreds of mocks.

During that time the Giants may realize Eli is not the problem in NY any more than he was the answer when they won a super bowl....
Cincinnatti may recognize they have more pressing issues than Dalton
Cleveland may well sign Kirk Cousins and the Bills may re-sign Tyrod Taylor and stand pat with their two first round picks.
Lots of things can happen, and lots of things will happen.

what will not happen...

is each of the first 6 picks in the draft are quarterbacks

that just aint gonna happen.

because some teams will only have two QB's rated as top 20 picks, and will decide to wait until the second for a guy if their favorites are gone... happens every year.

somebody will fall...and due to his size it just may be Baker Mayfield....or due to his turnovers it may be Sam Darnold..... or due to his perceived attitude issues it may be Josh Rosen...or due to his poor completions it may be Lamar Jackson...

You sure? Maybe the Browns pick 2 QBs :biglaugh:
lol...right? Never know with cleveland...

they could however pick a guy at 1,..then trade 4 to Buffalo for their 20 and 25 this year and and next years second... which would give them their QB and two other first round picks this year
