Yes, he sorta created the "squat to work with" scenario - we think, but it is what it is now.
And IMHO, I have to believe he's far more concerned about the patheticness of the defense, than who is gonna stand behind our o-line and get pounded all game by the opposing defense.

I would love to see the Whizenator put in DA after being down 28-7 like Hall was subjected to last week. That would be comedy at it's finest. You could probably create a new DA drinking game like "everytime DA throws over someone's head take a shot." I am kind of hoping for this scenario actually. Would be great theatre. Whiz's postgame presser could rival Denny's Bears classic.

God I want to be wrong and see him deliver this season on the faith so many here put in him but WoW...just zip it and give us a decent gameplan!! Run the ball and get to the passer this week. Two things that should be able to happen.

Two Immediate Thoughts:

(1) Does anyone think the Cardinals' coaching staff is "striking fear" in the Saints' staff?

(2) Can we declare the coaches "inactive" this week for a failure to carry their own "weight"?

That said...

(1) Playing Hall gives us hope for the future. We HAVE to be patient with this.

(2) The smart thing to do would be to release DA during the bye week and add a veteran QB who would be better suited for the system as a #2.

(3) This whole "DA was trying to be perfect" rationale is so absurd and so flawed that Whiz is further losing any semblance of credibilty. If he was trying to be perfect, why then when SD flashed LBers in the A gaps in a 0-0 game, did DA panic---even though the o-line picked up the stunt---and throw the ball up for grabs to an area where no Cardinal WR was? Because he was trying to be perfect?
