Don Coryell currently holds the record at 42 wins.

Wikipedia:

There have been 36 head coaches for the Cardinals franchise since it became a professional team in 1920. Ernie Nevers and Jimmy Conzelman are the only coaches to have had more than one tenure with the team. Pop Ivy and Gene Stallings both coached the team during its move from one city to another. Cardinals coach Roy Andrews has the lowest winning percentage among the team's coaches (.000), having lost the only game he coached, in 1931. Co-coaches Ray Willsey, Ray Prochaska, and Chuck Drulis have the highest winning percentage among Cardinals coaches (1.000). The team's all-time leader in games coached is Jim Hanifan, with 89. The all-time leader in wins is Don Coryell with 42. Thirteen of the team's coaches are former Cardinals players. The current head coach of the team is Ken Whisenhunt, who was hired on January 14, 2007.

Hank Kuhlman lost the only 5 games he coached for the Cards in 1989 after Stallings resigned.

That actually makes me sad. 42, are you kidding me?

Not surprising when you know that the longest consecutive tenure for a Cardinal Head Coach was Hanifan's 6 seasons.

Hopefully Whiz doesn't have a huge incentive in his contract for becoming the winningest coach in Cardinal history, because he would most likely be fired at 14.

Big deal. If we had been given 8 or 9 more years, we could have had this.

And even then, he'll be 24 wins behind Wayne Fontes, the all-time leader for the Lions. Wayne Fontes.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen something that illustrates as well as this what an unbelievably awful history the Cardinals have. Here's to the present and the future: God bless you, Whiz.

Hey at least we don't have a guy who played his last NFL game in 1962 as our franchise career passing leader.

Still not as bad as the Bears though. Sid Luckman who quit after the 1950 season still leads that franchise in career passing yards.

You were who we though you were.

Now go eat some pie, and go fishing.

There is one other stat that Coach Whizenhunt has here, that no one else is talking about, and that is that Whiz is the ONLY person to coach the Cards who has yet to have a losing season. (At least I am reasonably sure that is the case). It would be great to see him produce another season next year where he has more W's than L's. He is already walking in rarified air here in Cardinals land after three seasons. Can you imagine a 4th consecutive season without having a losing one?

That would be great. Tie Coryell who had 4 consecutive non losing seasons.

Quite an improvement for an NFL franchise that was so bad they dropped 2 out of 3 against the Brooklyn Dodgers.
