Wow.. most of ASFN must be on their periods.. Wild emotional reactions to everything that is said this week.. And none of it is even earth shattering news/reports.. So coach said no one is safe.. Or that Skelton isnt gonna be the starting QB.. Big whoop.. Now I am gonna get the hell outta this thread before the emotional "tide" turns on me.. :)

I basically agree that's how it should "be", but I don't agree that it's what should be "said".

The "no one's job is safe" and "best player plays" mantra is looking a little shaky in terms of overall results.

These are men that he is dealing with right ?

I am more nasty to the rugby team I coach, and those guys pay to be there. What is the NFL player's confidence as fragile as Kenny King's wrist ?

Good lord, for a supposide bunch of tough guys NFL players are pretty fragile, petty, and sensitive.

It no Cardinal is safe, does that mean we don't care about the team's core ?

LOL. This organization is great. Players who cry at less then what a 1st grader would be able to take.

A coach and a GM that both contradict themselves so much, that they don't know if they are coming, going, or what planet they are on.

is Graves included in this regime? I agree it makes or breaks Wiz, but I fear it'll be a cold day in hell when Graves is ever shown the door.

Even if you showed him the door he'd probably let it leave town without signing it.

I only hope at the end of this year CKW is also not untouchable.

But there's a difference between being coddled and never having any sense of security.

Like it or not, most players don't function at their peak when every single play is under scrutiny to the point of getting benched for a mistake.

Also, it diminishes the message when it's delivered in absolutes. Like, they're going to bench or trade Fitz.

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/...enies-role-in-choosing-cardinals-qbFitzgerald denies role in choosing Cardinals' QB

The Sports Xchange
July 23, 2011 Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald said "there's no truth" to reports he is playing a role in who the team's next quarterback will be.
In a text message to the Arizona Republic, Fitzgerald wrote: "I have no criteria. The two sides haven't even sat down and talked. I have not talked to any coach on staff for six months. I'm like everybody else scrambling to make this season a success.
The rumors heated up following a report that Kevin Kolb has thrown passes to Fitzgerald, and an ESPN report that the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback has been looking at real estate in the Phoenix area.
"There are much more pressing needs for our team than me," said Fitzgerald, who's entering the final year of his contract. "I'm under contract. My situation will work itself out. I'm not worried about it; the team shouldn't be, either. I want to be a Cardinal."
Once the lockout ends, the Cardinals are the leading contenders to acquire Kolb. Some reports have indicated a deal might have been agreed to in principle months ago, although the Cardinals have denied any trade is already in place.
Other teams including Arizona's division rival Seattle Seahawks could potentially be in the market for a veteran quarterback as well.
According to a FOXSportsArizona.com report, Kolb organized a private throwing session at Arizona State's indoor practice bubble. That would require permission from the school, and Fitzgerald's other workouts with NFL players during the lockout were well known.
Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has been mentioned repeatedly as a potential player the Eagles would like to receive as part of a deal, and Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt told The Arizona Republic earlier this week that no player on the roster was untouchable.
"I don't even know where that speculation started about trading or what we're going to give up," Whisenhunt told The Republic. "We don't even know if they (the Eagles) are willing to do that. That's something that everybody speculates on."
Kolb did participate in some of the Eagles' player-organized workouts during the lockout, but has made it clear his preference is to be traded now that Michael Vick is established as the team's starter. Former Northwestern quarterback Mike Kafka would become Vick's primary backup should Kolb be dealt.
The Eagles were believed to have already received an offer of a first-round pick from an unknown team shortly before the lockout began. Other teams seeking a veteran quarterback included the Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans.

Along with Graves for any GM not named........ heck I'd take anybody.
