My company bought some ad space for Bob's site and newsletter a few years ago...I can't remember if it was ASFN or the one before it. Been here ever since. Alot of us were on the old AOL boards back in the late 90's. I met some of those posters when my wife and I traveled to Minn. to catch the Plaoff game in jan 99. Love this place..

1). Also came over from the other board.
2). Been a fan since I was born in Chicago in 1953. My dad infected me.
3). Many memorable moments of course but my favorite was the 38-0 drubbing on the Cowboys on MNF. Joe Namath signing with the Jets is also unforgettable.

1). When and how did you find out about ASFN?
2). When did you begin following the Cardinals?
3). What's the most memorable Cardinal related moment you have (positive or negative)?

1. I was looking for a place to talk Cardinals last Spring, and I landed at he AZCardinals Web site. I got infuriated by one of the posters who wouldn't see any side but his own when it came to Plummer, so I vowed never to go back--and I haven't.

2. I started following the Cards when I started attending ASU in 1990. I became a fan probably in '92 or so...not exactly sure why; I'd always followed the Bears as a kid (born in Chicago).

3. The slant from Plummer to Sanders (or was it Moore?) in the middle of the field during the Cowboys playoff game. I don't know why, but that play seemed so clean and effortless to me. The Cardinals finally looked like a team that didn't have make every thing difficult. That whole season was great. I managed to convert a couple of my buddies into Cards' fans...for a few games; I don't think they're "fans" anymore.

1) I had "Goggled" some Cardinals fact, and was directed here. I lurked for a bit, then jumped in and started to spout off about most everything.

Believe me, I know the Skkorp rues the day I started posting... :D

2) 1996. I had just moved to the Valley, and starting to root for the Cardinals due to the fact that all of my in-laws are Cowboys fans. I arrived a Rams fan, but figured "if I was going to root for a loser, way not make it local?"

Now that little Red Bird has burrowed his way into my heart...

3) Jacke's field goal against San Diego to send the Cardinals to the playoffs...then, of course, the playoff win against the Cowboys.

1) Started at the azcardinals.com board, posted rarely, moved to Bob's board then came over here.

2) Since they moved here

3) Obviously the San Diego game to clinch the playoffs. Also the Redskins game that I believe was Mac's first win, when Aeneas ran the fumble back 106 yards or so.

Well.....I stumbled across this one after seeing the activity on one of the other boards decrease. This is a great board, and I'm glad I did.

Been a Cards fan since I was 10. (1978) I'm 35 now.

Besides the obvious (playoff clincher and win) My favorite moment has to be when we beat the eagles in 99 at the opener. I was at the Vet with about 10 friends all eagles clowns. They were riding me unmercifully along with about 58,000 other idiots all throughout the game as we were getting rocked. Well needless to say, a score here a score there, and then we slowly on Jakes back got back into the game, then won it. I swear you could hear me going crazy in the stadium as I was the most vocal Cards fan there (of course!) You could hear a pin drop as Jake did that roll out and run for about 20 yards to get field position. I slammed my one friends eagles hat to the ground and broke the little button on top of hats As I said "No, YOU look at the scoreboard MF!" I nearly got into about 3 fights on the way out! GREAT!!!!

1. A friend told me about the site back in July I think

2. I have been a cardinals fan ever since I was old enough to really follow sports (1994 I think)

3. Well the best moment was dalls of course, but I loved the Raider game in 2001. I made a bet with my friend the Cards would win (and I even predicted how, which somehow was exactly what happened.) When the raiders took the lead late in the 4th my friend was telling me it was over, I told him Jake would lead us back. He said if I was so confident why dont I double the bet, I did and we won! That was an awesome day.

I originally started back on the AOL Cards Corner - I remember everyone was shocked that I was a female poster! Wait, I do remember a gal from Philly that used to post here also. Then migrated to Rivals.....etc, etc.

Been season tix holder since 1996 when we moved to Phoenix.

Most memorable moment....the final game of '98 season when we got into the playoffs - the crowd went wild!!

Oh, forgot the rest....saddest was really just this past week. After that great win, Mac being dismissed. Great person!

I found this place through azcardinal.com, not to be confused with azcardinals.com. azcardinal.com mentions this place a lot, so I checked it out, and I haven't been back to azcardinal.com since. I've never been a big fan of forums either until I found this one.

1. Originally started posting on the "Cardinals Insider" Rivals board. I think I found it while surfing the net before the 97 draft, maybe right around the time we traded for Adrian Murrell? I can't remember exactly but that sounds about right.

2. Became a fan in '88, but I really didn't get into it much besides just watching the games until 93. Thats when I got the "thirst" and couldn't get enough info on the Cards to satisfy. Grew up in a Chicago Bears household - my Dad is from Decatur, IL where the bears originally started. He used to watch both the bears and the cards though growing up so he didn't mind watching the Cards.

3. I got several - A) obviously, the infamous San Diego game. The New Orleans game before that was great too. I took my Dad to both of those games, they were the last football games I saw with him. Two perfect Sundays.

B) Same Philly game that Ouchie talked about, I was at a bar in Crystal City VA that some of the DC guys know about, in a sea of 15 or 20 Philly fans. 2 minutes to go I started getting really vocal about how they left Plummer too much time. Then when Martay scored, it was basically the same as that Miami Dolphins fan in the Jets bar ad. Hilarious! I can't believe I got out of there alive.

3) The Cards @ Skins game I went to in 98, Sunday before Thanksgiving when we were up huge at the half, and somehow hung on for the win after a huge Skins rally. Final Score, Cards 45 - Skins 42. How I got out of there alive also I have no idea.

EDIT - forgot my "worst" moment. Actually, it was when I turned off the tv watching the Esiason 500 yard overtime game with two minutes to go in the 4th, disgusted thinking another sure loss, and jumped into my truck to drive from Tucson up to Phoenix.

So around Casa Grande, turn on the radio and they are just going off about how the cards won and it was the most amazing victory and bla bla bla... I haven't turned a game off early since.

2. Fan since when they moved here (to AZ) although I did follow Lomax when he played. They were also my favorite NFC Team in the late 1970s - with OJ Anderson & Hart & Company.
3a. The Place - SDS. The Game - Vs. SanDiego, last game of the season. The Play - Field Goal BABY!!!! to launch us into the playoffs.
3b. - The whole playoff game vs. Dallas - so much satisfaction.

One of the great plays I remember was what I think was the first run ever by OJ Anderson. He went off tackle against the Boys for about 60 yds and a TD.

Also remember Bobby Joe Conrad catching a ball in the middle of the field at about the 30 from Jim Hart and juking his way across the goal line to win the game. Jim Hart and that crew really could come from behind and did so on many a game. Jackie Smith, Conrad Dobler,Mel Grey, Stump Mitchell, the entire offensive line. We had some players in those years. We even had some fans.

Sorry for quoting Admiral James Stockdale (running-mate of H. Ross Perot in '92)..... Anyways, I'm wondering the following....

1). When and how did you find out about ASFN?
2). When did you begin following the Cardinals?
3). What's the most memorable Cardinal related moment you
have (positive or negative)?

Well, I initially came across ASFN in late June because I was looking for Phoenix Sun's draft party info and someone had linked the URL of this site to another one......

I moved from Metro-Detroit back on 5/12/02 and I have followed the Suns since the mid-late 80s and the Diamondbacks since their inception (when Buck Showalter was named their first manager).
I must admit that I really didn't really begin to direct any major interest in the Cardinals until last year's exhibition games and this forum has served as "Cardinals 101" for me......

Probably a positive for you..... Was witnessing Gramatica's GW FG in OT last season vs. the Lions in Tempe........

So, here's your opportunity to respond to these questions.......

1) I was introduced to the site by Krang.

2) I started following the Cards in 1993 after they beat the Giants at home. That was my first NFL game and that is about the time that I started really following the league. That, and countless days worth of Techmo Bowl familiarized me with NFL rosters.

3) Best Cardinals moment: Singing the Cardinals' fight song after the beating San Diego to go to the playoffs.

4) Worst moment: "The Cardinals have just annouced that they have released Larry Centers....."

Damn swd, I probably walked right by you. LOL! I usually speak to whoever I see rockin' Cards gear as it's best to have allies when you're at the Vet!! Whenever I had to go to the bathroom I would just keep walking. Don't stop unless you enjoy hearing groups of eagles fans call you an a-hole or "accidently" spill beer on you. ;)

1. Been here since day 1 of this board. It came out of azprosports which came out of Rivals.com. And, I think there was one before that, but I really can't remember.

2. Cards fan since '88. My dad got season tickets that year, and I got hooked after wins over the 49ers (one of the greatest comebacks ever over that year's Super Bowl champs) and the Giants (violent game against previous year's Super Bowl champs).
Always kind of liked them though because I hated the Cowboys more than being a fan of any one team.

3. Has to be the kick and game that beat San Diego to get into the playoffs. Although the win over the 49ers in 88 is a very close second.

4. Worst moment: "fans" cheering when Kent Graham got hurt so Jake could get in the game. Now, that was truly shameful.

Came over from the old board also.Have had to change my poster name a couple of times because of e-mail changes and lack of computer skills.
Have been a Cardinal fan since 1960. Have met some of the old Cardinals when I was younger( Hart, Dierdorf, Wilson, Jackie Smith, and Roger Wehrli. Several of the St. Louis Cardinals used to buy their jeans, etc. from my wife's folks clothing store in St.
Louis.

I have to say my most memorable moment was when the Cards won their 1st and to this point only playoff game.

1. found out about board from azcentral.com begining of last year. Been here ever since.

2. Followed the Cards since they moved there. Lived in Az growing up until graduating in '91. I moved due to the Marine Corps. i am out now and residing in the panhandle of Florida. Still a diehard fan though.

3.Most memorable moment was them moving to Phoenix. Otherwise the Cards beating the Cowboys in the PLayoffs.Next moment will be when they hire Dennis Green!!!!

1). When and how did you find out about ASFN?
2). When did you begin following the Cardinals?
3). What's the most memorable Cardinal related moment you

1) I found out about the board in October when i met The Greenmachine. He told me about the board and seeing as i am a huge az sports fan and host a radio show he said i should join and start reading.
2) I became a cardinals fan when i was old enough to enjoy sports back in '92. I was 9 and my dad got me into sports. I love football. The first season i remember is '93. I remember garison hearst and i remember the trading cards they gave out with hearst the hearse (dont know if i spelled that right). I have seen some of the weirdest stuff in cardinals history live. I saw the forward latteral by the patriots in the '90s. i saw steve bonos naked boot leg. I saw the redskins and cards trade late feild goals in '98. I saw dave kriegs stinger in a game and the ultimate was last sunday as i sat in section 21 right infront of the endzone catch by poole.
3) My most memorable cardinals related moment has to be the entire '98 season but the one part that sticks out from that year wasnt a win but the game against the cowgirls where the cardinals fought back and got screwed on a pass interference call where rob moore almost came down with the touchdown in the endzone to win the game.
