After reading that article I have to believe that BA must know something we don't. I am all in on the new coaching staff and hope to see positive results from our team. I can't go all off season thinking negative.

Lets just hope he knows more about coaching than Mean Joe or Russ Grimm!!! It just seems 98% of former players who were good-great aren't really good teachers at the NFL level.

imo this is a terrible replacement for a guy who developed the best unit on this team

Who know? BA might be a genius. Maybe a guy who was DLinemen for a living and seemed to have some swagger will be a perfect fit for DD and company. And lets not forget he has a Pittsburgh connection.

Its BA's call. He is putting coaches in place that he knows. He will be judged by his wins.

I like that they have a guy that has played D-Line. I also like that BA got a guy DD can relate too as well. They did say we'd have a couple coaches on the D-Line as well. Don't think he'll be the only guy working with this bunch.

BA worked with this guy at Pittsburgh. He obviously is aware of his work ethic and ability. He does appear to be on the inexperienced side though. If he's the guy I remember being interviewed on NFLN he has a great personality.

Three things on face value.

1. He's young.

2. He coached a 3-4

3. He was on the same D-line as Peppers

(Four! Fourth Amongst His Weaponry):

4. If reports are accurate, he'll have a senior guy in Pratt as backup, coaching the pass rush and helping out with the D line.

Brentson Buckner, former lineman with the Carolina Panthers and frequent Rich Eisen guest on NFLN when he was still playing.

Wiki report showed me he has some skills as a player, we know BA sought out the super experienced old man so this is likely one of his mentees for now.

Carefull about using any facts to knock the Horton-defense.

Regardless of the defensive stats; it was the offense's fault for being so putrid.

This coaching sweep sure will make for some nice side-stories to watch around the league.

Yeah, this guy has a fantastic outgoing personality. It's a good combination of youthful enthusiasm combined with Pratt's veteran old-school savvy.

Didn't we hire a D-Line consultant as well? Hopefully he can work with Buckner to really solidify the D-Line techniques.

Buckner was a very good DT for the Panthers. We'll see how good a coach he is, but I think it's important to have a good mix of young talent and experienced coaches.

In Buckner, we get a guy who's only 7 years removed from playing in the NFL, so he can still relate to guys like Dockett.
