#26!!! It's time to take off the training wheels & give our suspect OT's a break from speedy pass rushers. Move over Kurt, put your past behind you & share the ball with Beanie because he wants to play too.

Russ lets see what Whiz does this week in a game we have a more talented team to win with does.I'm afraid he's gonna go with Boldin myself.I wish someone would replay last season.Maybe it was Haley who convinced Whiz to move on.We'll never know.:)

I guess my point was, your comments about Doucet are wholly similar to other people commenting on wanting more of Beanie. The main difference is Hightower isn't playing hurt. I agree about Boldin, he's not healthy enough to play a full game and he keeps reinjuring himself.

That said, I have to assume there's a reason Whiz keeps trotting him out there every week instead of deactivating him and playing Doucet. While he is praising Early in practice, he's still not playing him, maybe the praise is meant as some sort of carrot? You're not there yet but you're getting better, keep working?

Clearly what you saw of Doucet in college and briefly with the Cards leads you to think he's been underutilized especially now. I think some of us have the exact same opinion of Beanie based on what we've seen of him.

IMO one of the reasons is to commit to Beanie being the #1 RB, we have to commit to run more, and Whiz isn't sure that's going to sit well with his QB and he's not sure he wants to pull the trigger because last year Kurt essentially carried the offense damn near to a super bowl win.

azsportsfan how can you say Hightower when he only knows how to pass block and all the chip blocking assignments that go along with the passing game and he knows how to be the hot read and can catch the ball everytime out of the backfield.

Why he dared to even have a 17 yard catch and run last week.On a team that should not be passing the ball when we have the great Beanie.

I think having Beanie for the last part of his rookie year healthy and learning and able to contribute BIGTIME in the playoffs is probably a bad idea.We need to use him up as much as possible right now while he still has'nt learned all the plays yet.Except I'm not at practice I don't see him miss the blitz pickup and hear him get yelled at.That would never happen. He did it all during his college career at Ohio State.Did'nt you see it?

Beanie had how many receiving yards in dump off passes at OSU?Oh his hands are small and he does'nt catch that well? I did'nt know that coming out of college. He was here all summer to pick this stuff up in OTA's.Oh...he was'nt.

Maybe the team will start using Beanie more this week since the team has no other options unless they want to lose everygame.I wish I would have thought of this.:sarcasm::deadhorse2::titanic:

Use him up! Are you sure you played football? In case you haven't noticed Wells is 21 years old not 31. Well maybe if they ran him 60 times a game.

Who cares if he can pass block or catch the ball out of the backfield when he runs for 5 yards a carry for a team that went to the Super Bowl with the 2nd worst rushing average in the NFL! What do you think third down backs are for?

Think how good they will be when teams have to account for the three B's AND the Fitz AND Patrick at TE.

As for the ancient cliche that coach always knows best, Buddy Ryan, Dave McGinnis, Denny Green and countless others have proven that to be absolutely wrong.

Russ I don't think Head coach Whiz gives two cents for what Kurt Warner thinks about the CARDINALS turning into a run first team at all.It would open up the play action for Kurt to have the kind of season favre is having with the vikes.Kurt would love it.

What I want to know is how you and others are privy to such intimate knowledge of such private thoughts and meetings that none of the rest of us are even aware of? So much talk and so many posts about how much power Warner has in running the CARDINALS and I don't buy one cent of it.

Warner was told just where to sit by Whiz when he came here.Nothing has changed from what he did last year to this year.Coach Whiz is the HEAD coach and its his decision so far not to turn Beanie loose. Not to rest Boldin and not to turn into a more balanced or running based team.

If you have private information please give us time and place or the link to said information PLEASE.....:D

Speaking of using guys up. We have a 38 year old QB who played 20 games last season and is throwing the ball 40 times a game this year. (7 games 283 pass attempts)

Wouldn't it be far better to run our 21 year old first round draft pick more and not "use up" Warner?

What, no, you mean exactly how the Vikings use Peterson who cant block or known for catching the ball and let Taylor come in and block for him. But that is crazy talk becuase you are not a Head Coach and it was not the idea of Doug. So I think its a pretty bad idea.

Why not put both of them in the backfield at the same time? Get away from the 4 - WR sets, give Warner more protection, set up for a run or screen pass.

Couldn't hurt.

Never said I had a hot phone to Whiz. I said the fact that Doucet isn't active and Beanie isn't the #1 RB are indications of how Whiz feels about both of them.

You seem to think it's only true for beanie, Whiz knows he can't play him more that's why he doesn't, people who question that think they know more than the coach does.

But at the same time, you're advocating sidelining Boldin and playing Doucet even though the same coach, seems to think that's not the right decision.

they seem contradictory to me. You're saying trust Whiz he's the coach with Beanie, but questioning him with Doucet.

One of the things I personally think we'd gain by playing Beanie more, is it would actually de-emphasize some of our problems pass blocking. His inexperience is less an issue if we run more. Our tackles are less an issue if we run more.

Duck next time you want to quote me.Use the full sentence and don't put words in my mouth please.I said use him up right now when he's not learned all the plays yet.

Is'nt that what I said Ducky? Then you twisted it to fit your ugly post that is pretty much a slam at me personally and its the first one of those I've had since being on this board.

I know I don't care about anything called the 3b's and little kids games.Try to keep your personal attacks to yourself.Especially when I put a sarcasm alert at the bottom of my post and you took half a sentence from what I said and turned a whole post out of it.

I'm certainly due an apology from you.Whether you think Beanie can run for 5 yards a carry or not. I certainly know about my past and where I've been and the things "I DO" know about.I think the coach knows who knows the plays and who does'nt.I saw Beanie run the opposite way of where he was suppose to go on one running play.It was embarrassing and he was taken straight out.

I can imagine how well he is in protecting our old quarterback with the schemes he HAS'NT LEARNED YET.Don't worry about the minor stuff duck.

I see you're still mad about me correcting you yesterday Joe.I guess no one dare do that here huh? Forgive me please. I put sarcasm smiles when I meant them Joe schmo.

I had a full sentence reduced to half of it saying we would use Beanie up when I really said Use Beanie up when he does'nt know the plays yet.

Did'nt you JOE see the play where Beanie ran the wrong way when it was his turn to carry the ball? Did you see it? If he does'nt know the plays then how is he gonna be able to carry the ball?

I'm not chastizing anyone that does'nt say Kurt Warner runs this team and coach Whiz is afraid to turn to a run team because of Warner might not like it.Don't you think thats funny and insane too?And many other silly suggestions.

If you want to run to ducks side and say his false post was fair and lieing about someone is good. Then so be it.I know more about you then.

I guess you carry a grudge Joe.You did'nt actually think I was gonna get an apology from duck do ya? Do you think I did?LMAO

Yes that is exactly what you said Dougie.

Poor Pollyanna I'm so sorry that I offended you. I should know that hypocrites tend to be overly sensitive. It's ok for you to attack STOUT but you start crying the minute someone does the same thing to you.

I would like to nominate you as the new HEAD COACH of the CARDINALS with the insight and practice information that you bring to the table in your posts. Most of us are in the dark about what is happening in practice.I'm just glad we've got one poster who is able to be there.

Since its as simple as turning Beanie lose and running pass plays with him not in the route but picking up the hot blitzer, like we'll see with the bears as they can't get pressure with the front 4 alone.Only 1 sack in the last 3 games against weak teams.

It could'nt be more simple and obvious than your post above to the guy in your position named Whisenhunt. The stats show Beanie is ready for the bigtime.Let him loose and feed him the rock all day long.I'm glad Stout is on the job.Forgive me for not seeing what you do.I too am entertained by your posts more than you'll ever know.

You're worse than Tango ever was.

Now thats a look I have been wanting to see all season on a semi-regular basis! They both can get it done on the ground and TH definetly can get it done catching out of the back field. BW has shown he is servicable in catching out of the back field. And with two back there it would still force the D to bring more to the box thus freeing up the cover 2. If they dont then hand it off to either one and bang it out!

Depends on how well they run block. If they're in there together, one of them has to block for the other on runs.

That's why I prefer 2TE's, the problem is for some reason we don't run well from that formation so far this year. My personal theory is we run too often from it. 65% of the 2 TE plays are runs, on a team as pass happy as us that's just too much, we're telling teams we're going to run with the 2 TE. If we passed out of it more, and used the TE, I think it would make us far less predictable and then we'd be able to run out of that formation.

Doug, STOP DOGGING BEANIE!!! I like you, man, but it upsets me when someone has zero knowledge of what they're talking about. Beanie IS PRODUCING WELL. HE IS NOT GETTING THE BALL ENOUGH. Blame Whis, not Beanie. Sheesh!

I think what I said to stout after a post like this was more than fair. But I would'nt want to bring facts into a thread like this one.:D

Then I was accused of never playing football because I know nothing about the game by someone else.

Then someone took half of one sentence from a whole post and made a liars post out of it.

You can't win with the darkside.Plus I'm very new here and you are used to some of these folks and their opinions as fact.I'm not.So FORGIVE ME.

I'm the one in the wrong here.I sure would'nt want to muddy any waters here.I like it so much more than the main CARDINALS board where I would'nt post a word.I can't say what I think most of them on that board represent.

Joe Shmo you are the most intelligent cap person I've ever read on any sports message board anywhere in my long history of doing such.I appologize if I said something to hurt your feelings and hope we can patch things up.I really appreciate knowing you'll always be there to make sense out of any money matter with FACTS on any team in this league.

I was out of place to make fun of anyone that attacked me personally.I should have just ignored it and been the humble one and moved on.From now on I will be the better man.I've embarrassed myself today and I'm very sorry.

I just want this team to win.I also want the same things everyone on this board wants.W's for the CARDINALS anyway we can get them.PEACE:)

Okay Doug, I've been polite and limited this to a football discussion, but it seems you can't handle that. Fine, but when you say stuff like this:

Doug:
I voted for both, but its time BEANIE shows us why we picked him #1 and just because he was picked #31 is NO EXCUSE.Steven Jackson was picked #27 I think and look at how he's the only player on that team right now.

Beanie your not a steven jackson. You're a different kind of runner that gets elusive and makes people miss and you showed VISION in college. Can we see some of that NOW!!! You did'nt need a great hole or blocking to do some of the things you did in college.ITS time you get a game ball and show us in Illinois what Big Ten football was for you.

When you say stuff like that, Doug, expect me to say that you know nothing of what you speak, especially when I presented you with cold, hard facts. I expected you to at least acknowledge the FACT that Wells is running quite well. That is fact. You cannot counteract the fact that he has run well in the past two games. Yes, he's made mistakes, but his rushing statistics cannot lie (and besides, Hightower, his competition, has made mistakes too).

I don't care much what happens in practice; I care about what I see on the field. I see a RB who is clearly coming into his own. You say he can't get it done because of his lack of pass pro skills. Tell me, Doug, why didn't Warner get killed against the Giants when Beanie rushed, and rushed well, for 14 carries? Why didn't his lack of pass blocking skills get Warner demolished? I notice you still didn't answer that question.

I did enjoy your posts before, Doug, because you brought a passion and a certain knowledge to this board. After you've reacted quite negatively and insultingly to a poster trying to get his point across in a straightforward, positive manner, and after you spurned my good wishes by mockingly throwin them back at me, I have come to a realization. You''ve passion and knowledge until someone disagrees with you; then you throw a fit.

Every time Wells came in on a running down the LB's played him to run last week.

The Cards needs to use that to their advantage. Often.

I don't remember ever seeing one pass protection move ever made by Beanie Wells.I have nothing against him and I don't think he has failed at anything yet.I sure also don't think that he won't get a chance to be a fulltime runner as long as Kurt Warner is the quarterback of the ARIZONA CARDINALS as you've said.Which is kinda off the beaten track to think Warner has the power to control how the head coach thinks on if he wants to pass or run.Warner has no say in that. The coach's ass is on the line and not Kurts.

When I said its time for Beanie to show us why we picked him #1.I was saying lets use the run game and let Beanie lead the way for the team and the gameplan. You took it as something negative and made things ugly as ususal. You assumed and then you followed up with more.

Besides Beanies around left end stiffarm run we have'nt seen anything longer. Those are the runs I was referring to next in the thread about what I saw in college and I've seen Beanie last week not follow Krieder the fullback making the hole.He instead did'nt use his vision and ran into a wall of defensive men and got tackled.Thats my observation after studying film for 16 years total.

You only gave the good facts of what he's done in the last 2 games and not the total of the whole year. Can I take the two best games from Kurt Warner and say thats what he is now?Stats are for people who want to try and make their point right.Thats all. They can be bent a million ways.

Its obvious you want Beanie and a running game and Matt as the qb.I've got it. I want W's for the CARDINALS.If Beanie is ready Sunday I want him to get at least 25 carries. That will open up the whole offense.I have NOTHING against Beanie.I've seen a growing process of the kid running the wrong way when he was suppose to get the handoff and Kurt had to go down with the ball.Beanie was then taken out immediately.Everyone knew what happened.

The guy is still learning. When you say you don't care what happens in practice you lose all credability of any football knowledge there is.I played. You must not have.If you don't do it in practice. You never get the chance to show it on the field.PERIOD.Nothing more needs to be said.If you don't get that. Then YOU don't know FOOTBALL.I've NEVER seen Beanie pass block one time. When Beanie comes in.Its to run the ball.Period.

Maybe he CAN block.I don't know, because we have'nt seen it yet.I never threw a fit.I even tried to seal this whole thread with an open apology to everyone and yet you yourself decided that was'nt good enough. You wanted to open it up again and try to trash me some more.

I know for a fact you don't have a clue about how I feel about Beanie and how he's gonna help this team succeed. That was obvious from your first misread of my posts.I got a good post from one of the mods in this thread so I know I was'nt being sarcastic as Joe shmo said I was in every post.Thats another lie.

I find your avatar offensive as I do the fact you thought after I humbled myself that you needed to write anything else to add to this thread.None of us are the coach. We all have questions why he's doing quite a few things at the moment.None of us are getting answers but we know he's got his own job on the line and he's not gonna risk it by not putting what he thinks is best for the team on the field at the time.None of us have access to the practice field.

If a guy is always screwing up in practice and going the wrong way or unable to block then WHAT DO YOU THINK is gonna happen to him on GAME DAY? Thats why PRACTICE DOES MATTER stout.

I have nothing against Beanie at all.I want him to hold onto the ball and make it a running first offense if he can.I don't have conspiracy theries about that never happening till Warner is gone. You ever heard that one?:D

I bent over backwards in my last post in this thread to you and the others. You have'nt been as gracious,by wanting to continue the madness. So I'll just say I'm done with the thread now for good and I hope you got the answers you so desperately were seeking.I think you show a lot about yourself in your avatar too.If you have'nt learned how to forgive a man in your life for simple things then you have a long way to grow in life.I have no enemies here.

Some may think I'm theres but its only because they want it to be.:)PEACE GO CARDINALS...

Wow, I don't know whether to laugh, feel bad for ya, or shrug at this post. Hmm. My avatar offends you, which is a sentiment that came out of absolutely nowhere. Sorry about that. It won't be changing. The idea that your last post was apologetic and not incredibly mean-spirited and sarcastic? Yeah, nice try bud. You came off as a jerk and that's just what you meant to do.

On to topical matters. Who cares if you've ever seen Beanie make a pass pro move? He toted the rock to good effect against the Giants and he wasn't responsible for getting Kurt killed. For the third time, can you address that little nugget that rips your fear of Beanie's pass pro to shreds?

You've also changed completely what you supposedly said about Beanie. In your initial posts you said absolutely nothing about it being Beanie leading the game plan or any such stuff. You focused it entirely on him and playing well. Now that you've been proven wrong, you're changing your tune.

Sure, stats can be bent a million ways, but you can't compare Warner and Beanie. Warner's a seasoned vet that has had ups and downs. Beanie's a rookie who had a very rocky start but is making fewer mistakes with each game and is looking much better with every game.

Wow, so now I'm calling for Matt as our starting QB? I'm not saying I'd be against him running the team, but Warner's the guy we're rolling with right now. I'd like to see Beanie leading a strong running game and Warner using that running game to go bonkers passing the ball on other teams, yes. It's a proven formula (see last year's playoff run). Why, don't you want us to win or something? It's clear that the more this team runs the more they win (again, see last year's playoff run). We should both want to win, yes?

Oh, as for losing credibility? Nope, didn't lose any. Sorry bud. I don't care what goes on at practice. Why? I'm not there, I can't see it, hear it, feel it, or quanitfy it. Anything that happens at practice that isn't directly documented is impossible for the fan to know. Why speculate on what I can't know and can't draw an opinion from? Nope, don't care about practice, except when I hear something solid reported from practice.

Also, you lied. When Beanie comes in, it isn't always to run the ball. That is a bold-faced lie. He's been thrown to out of the backfield. Oh, I grant you that he's mainly been rushing, but the fact that we tried to start running plays with him that weren't just rushing plays seems to have slipped your mind. You know, like on the play where Warner threw a perfect pass to Peppers...instead of to Wells? So go ahead, make some more things up to support your position.

Practice matters, I agree. Problem is, you aren't privy to practice. Since you have no idea what's going on in practice, I don't know why you're spouting off about him screwing up in practice. The general public isn't hearing any such thing and, unless you're a player or coach, you haven't heard it either. So, go ahead and talk about practice some more. It's undermining your position every time you say it.

So, there you have it, friend. You still can't come up with a reason as to why Beanie didn't get Warner killed in the Giants game, which proved that he is not as monstrous a hinderance in pass pro as you make him out to be. You've attempted to completely change what you said in the beginning of the thread, but that dog ain't huntin'. You're acting the wounded lamb and claiming that people are picking on you, when with your last supposedly apologetic and humble post you blatantly dished out sarcastic insults. Sorry, Doug, you've dropped far in my estimation. Now, I might not be the most well-centered poster on here, but I can recognize a lot of the ones who are. When you go around insulting guys like Joeschmoe and telling them they're big bad meanies, your credibility takes a pretty big hit.

Oh, but one thing I do agree about in your post...I will be quite happy if Beanie carries 25 times ;)

Thanks stout.I think you are the stats guy right. So how many passes has Beanie been thrown? How many has he caught? Is it over 5 on any account. You act like it has some kind of meaning.

I'm all for Beanie getting 25 a game.If you think you can read a mind then you supposedly can tell me what I meant by my post.Obviously I'm not backtracking ONE bit.I said what I said and I stand by it as the first time I meant what I said.

You are the one who should have asked what I meant. You did'nt and now you have to eat it.Beanie had what 12 carries for 29 yards and a 2.9 avg carry in the Seattle game.We were not trying to come from behind having to pass the ball against 7 or 8 deep like we were in the panther game.GUESS WHAT .Thats the game beanie went off and had such a high ypc. He's only had 4 catches in his NFL career. His longest carry is 17 yards. He should have gotten more yards with the secondary playing so far backed off. They were GIVING us the run.Knowing we could'nt come back on them if we ran the rest of the way.How much do you need explaining about?

Hightower had a 17 yard reception last week against strong coverage in the panther game.I'm all for Beanie to rule for 10 years as the CARDINALS leader. When coach Whiz thinks he's ready.Obviously coach Whiz has'nt seen enough in what you don't believe in because you can't see it,ITS CALLED PRACTICE...Its what players in the NFL do for most of their time in the NFL.Its PRACTICE.Yet you give it no CREEDANCE.LMAO Obviously you've never been to football practice for two a days in that heat.I have. Then weight training.Thats whats gonna make Beanie...Beanie in the NFL.

Not one game in New York.Did you see what the rookie from the eagles did to the giants last sunday?LeSean McCoy was 11 for 82 yard with a 66 yard touchdown 7.5 average against the same team you keep raving about Beanie with.McCoy had his td for 66 then he caught passes with 17 being his longest and caught 5 passes in the week before. He's not even getting starter reps like Beanie is in practice everyday. So PLEASE stop with Beanie is the savior stuff dude.McCoy was drafted after Beanie was.Why did'nt Beanie go off for a 66 yarder against the giants?lol Look further in the draft to Shonn Greene and his over 100 yard games as a rookie. What a hard nose runner he is out of Iowa, the big 10 again.

I hope you keep whatever avatar represents you the best.I think you have it already.I was just letting you know I personally find it childish.Thats just my opinion.

I've answered your so call important question with my top sentence in my last post.Never seen Beanie block once.Show me a film clip of it.You can do that I'm sure.

Maybe he can.I just know what the HEAD COACH does and it isn't what you want.Right? So I guess they are'nt gonna make a newspaper about each practice for you either and tell you all the teams secrets and who can't do what.Shame.I doubt it would change anything with you.Why would anyone want to embarrass Beanie by saying how slow he is picking up the offense in practice? Its not gonna EVER happen. We'll know by how much Beanie see's the field.Thats how.Coach's play the players that execute in practice.Kinda gives away a lot by saying that.

I know I have others who will stand by me on this board.I've been here for the full offseason since April and have made many a friend and have had people actually ask to call me.Others have written to me and I've poured myself out on this board as a person trying to add something positive. Not the negative your two flying bird signals show, and your constant negative posts about the team.Thats your right though. You did'nt have far to fall.As far and me and any other poster.I'll handle my own affairs thankyou.Don't need any help from you.Never will.

I'm a grown ass man with grown kids and paid for home, cars and everything a man could ask for in life(All PRAISE TO GOD).I come here for a relief and to relate to folks I enjoy. So I'll stay out of your way.Could you please do me a favor and stay out of mine?

Why don't we make a pact not to post to each other since thats the way you want to take this? I will promise not to post to anything you say and you can return the favor.I'm not here to impress people or change the way they think. You have made your beliefs known here and I have done the same.Have a nice life.

I'm all for the CARDINALS and peace. So enjoy.:D I got you on ignore from here on out.PEACE :)

I want Beanie to get a 75/25 split. His ability to break tackles at the LOS is something this team's missed for a long time. Hightower is a solid third down back, but I believe we've seen enough of him as a starter to determine his impact on the game.

As for the pass protection and receiving, Hightower is the stronger player in those categories, but I don't believe the discrepancy between the two backs is enough to overlook Beanie's superior running skills. Hightower's left a lot of yards on the field in the last couple of games, especially on some outside runs.

i voted for Wells. To me it's a no-brainer. It'd be like Minnesota splitting carries between Chester Taylor and AP because AP fumbles and isn't as good as pass blocker. Taylor is a good, productive back but he's not in AP's class. The same can be said about Hightower when comparing him to Wells.
