I am going with Alex Len. He does not seem to have energy or heart to be dominate in the NBA.

I'm gonna choose Noel. Scrawny big men like him usually take forever to develop and a lot the times turn out to be busts for the team that drafed them (Tyrus Thomas for example)

And even if Noel adds weight, it's yet to be seen how much quickness and athleticism he loses because of it. Right now he looks super athletic for a big man that's because he weighs as much as a NBA PG does. He won't look anything close to it once he adds weight to match the size of a NBA center.

And then there's his knee problems..

I agree on Len. I softened on him briefly because he was just getting so much love here and elsewhere but I've never really liked him as a player. I'm really hoping that the Cavs take him first so we have no chance of making that mistake. I look at Len and compare him to what little I've seen of Dieng and I have no idea why someone would choose Alex first.

I think you have to wait until after the draft to declare busts, once we know draft position *cough* Jan Vesely *cough*.

I'm going to go with Len. He doesn't really have that much game and he's still a project.

This was a weird draft. I didn't think anyone belonged in the top 5. It felt like the "normal" level of talent you see in the top 5 just wasn't there. I'm looking at it as if the drafting started at 6. So Len to me in a normal draft would have gone @ 10 rather than 5. I feel a little better with that thought... lol! Anyway, Noel will be a bust IMO. Big bust. I probably would have taken McLemore, but I'm less than 50% that he will be successful. So without the two guys I wanted available (Bennett, Oladipo), a gamble on Len has an equal probability of success as anyone else who was there IMO.

Still really early but so far looking like Anthony Bennett, the #1 overall pick.

Ford: Anthony Bennett Looking Like Worst No. 1 Overall Pick In 20 Years

The 2013 NBA Draft class is looking like one of the least talented in recent memory.

Beyond the struggles of Anthony Bennett, who was selected first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers, there are very few starter quality players. Others, such as Nerlens Noel and Alex Len, have been injured.

"It's very early, but right now, he's looking like the worst in the past 20 years," said Chad Ford about Bennett. "That includes Greg Oden. Oden was injured all the time, but when he played, he at least looked like a No. 1 pick."

The Cavaliers shocked nearly the entire NBA by taking Bennett first.

"Really, only Victor Oladipo and Michael Carter-Williams are proving to be valuable starters at the moment," said Ford. "A few others like Trey Burke, Mason Plumlee, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Steven Adams have been solid. Giannis Antetokounmpo looks like he might be a big star down the road. But all of those players except Oladipo weren't even in the conversation for the No. 1 pick."

I know some here were really hyped up on Bennett. Looks like he may follow the direction of Derrick Williams and Thomas Robinson as tweener PFs who couldn't make it in the NBA.

That is one of the main reasons that I don't like the chances of the undersized Julius Randle making it big in the NBA.

I was leading the charge but I said all along it was because there was no way he'd add victories to the win column his first year. I still stand by everything I said about him. He has a very high ceiling but a very long climb to get there. Anyone expecting numbers from him this season didn't watch how he got his points in college. I'd still rather have him than Len despite how miserably he's played this season. He needs to drop weight, get into shape and learn how to use his incredible gifts. Until then, he's a bust but I didn't like that draft class and short term bust was the ideal pick for us (or so it seemed at the time).

Now, given our play so far this season I'd have picked Michael Carter-Williams or maybe Steven Adams but who knew we'd go from the bottom to the upper middle overnight.

Who would have dreamed Bennett would go #1 in the draft. I was wanting the Suns to go big in the draft and thought Bennett would be the safest available big left at #5. I thought Noel and Len would be drafted before the Suns picked anyway. Also there were injury concerns with Noel and Len. I was not high on Cody Zeller. If the Suns had drafted Steven Adams at #5, I don't think anyone would have said anything negative (including me) except he was considered awfully raw.

As it looks now, MCW was the best choice and he did not go before #11. However, who is to say the bigs selected early are busts just yet. The Suns made a great makeup pick by selecting Archie Goodwin at #29. All in all, it does appear the draft 2013 draft was very weak and risky to say the least.

In reading devilalum's post, I said to myself, "Anthony Bennett looks just like Oliver Miller." Then I realized, the photo was Oliver Miller. LOL

What is going on with Otto Porter - he was supposed to be the most NBA ready and he isn't doing significantly better than Bennet. He's only played 109 minutes in 9 games so he might be having injury problems. If not, Washington might be thinking they made a mistake with him and be willing to let him go cheap. I didn't give much thought to him as he wasn't a big but if he's got a decent ceiling, why not give him a shot...

I don't know about ceiling but I thought he had the safest floor along with Oladipo. I also thought he was the closest to NBA ready so I'm very surprised by his lack of success/minutes. I'm not sure he'd be a great addition to this team though even if he were the player I and others projected. Besides a style issue with Porter, I think Green's confidence is a little shaky and I wouldn't want him looking over his shoulder. He's played so well for us even though none of us are really talking about him. Or should I say, none of us are talking positively about him very much. He fell apart for that stretch of games when he first returned to bench duty but other than that he's been one of our best players.
