RG3, but then the only guys in the top15 that I don't see with high bust potential are Luck and Decastro.

Don't agree. People said the trade would handcuff the Redskins for years and RGII would have no weapons and the first thing they did was go out and get some complimentary players in free agency.
getting free agents has never been their problem...or maybe I should say that has always been their problem. if that makes sense.

aside from that who did they get? garcon? I don't see him as anything special. who else did they sign? I haven't really followed them.

I just feel like griffin benefited by playing in a weak(defensive) conference. so I'm not completely sold on him yet. I will say that he appears to be different than some of the other running qb's that have come out of college though. I attribute his bust moreso to the team that he is going to because of their questionable personnel decisions that they constantly make. shanahan will likely be out of there before long as well. snyder always goes for the big name quick fix every time.

I'll wait and see. The problem with internet message boards is that if the guy signs with your team he's a stud. If he signs with another team he's a bum.

The NFL has never seen a QB like Robert Griffin. A guy who can throw like a pro style QB and runs a sub 4.5 forty. How are you going to spy him? He'll run right by your spy. And if you spy him you lose your 11 on 10 advantage on defense. I think RGIII is the future of the NFL because there will be far more Griffin's coming out of college than Andrew Lucks.

Dont get the hype at all. Its a passing league and he was not a good pass blocker. Not a 1st round talent.

I cant buy the last part. We heard the same thing about Michael Vick, the future of the NFL and we would see a lot more of him... RGIII is the closest resemblance and it took over a decade.

Whether RGIII busts or not, I doubt we will see a similar player for a long time.

I didn't hear that about Vick and have always thought the idiot coaches who try and take a guy like Vick or Young and try and make them into a pocket passer like Peyton Manning ought to be hung. But now that I think about it you are probably right because guys like Vince Young and Cam Newton and RGIII are singular talents.

I think those guys had a lot of differences... Cam is like a DE playing QB and coming out of college no one thought he could throw like he has. Vince Young is a big steaming pile of dung.

Griffin only averaged 3.9 ypc but was a vastly superior passer to either player. All 3 are black and fast but their play styles were very very different.

michael vick? faster than rg3 and probably has a stronger arm. maybe griffen is a more accurate passer and is more intelligent.

I don't have any reason to like or dislike andrew luck or RG3. I don't care for the colts either, but I think luck will do well there if they continue down the same path as they have in the past with a new GM.

look I don't like the redskins, but I don't like the giants and the eagles either. and if griffen were going to one of those organizations he would be a lot better off. the culture in washington makes it more difficult to succeed for a young qb like him. that's all I'm saying. but you gotta start somewhere. if he is the real deal...maybe he can be what donovan mcnabb was to the eagles. but a lot of what washington does around him will determine his fate IMO. they just don't have a good track record.

Vick doesn't throw like a Pro-Style QB. At least that's what I've seen in the games I've watched him play.

Vince Young was also like a DE playing QB. Both he and Newton are 6'5" 230+ and won games in college with their legs more so than their arms. But anyway I said Newton, Young and RGIII were singular talents not similar talents.

Brockers....unless someone makes a light click on for him.
That's a good call. I really like him but after hearing him interviewed, the guy who popped into my mind as a comparison was JaMarcus Russell. He can be an all world player or a bust.

In the games that I have watched robert griffen play he reminds me more of vick than any other guy that has been drafted since....

and I wouldn't call michael vick a bust as a player so that is not a knock on RG3. Vick has done a lot(on the field) for both Atl and now the eagles and has been very successful as a pro. I would call michael vick a bust as a person who never reached his full potential in life because of his off the field problems. it looks like michael vick might be coming around now personally, but it appears to be too late for his playing career.

I don't think robert griffen will share vick's fate because he is a completely different person and is a unique talent combined with other unique leadership abilities, i'm just saying his run/throw style reminds me of vick. I think RG3 is very intelligent. I just think he could bust because he is going (or may be going) to one of the most unstable organizations in the NFL. now if dan snyder changes his approach and starts doing things differently there then it could work out. I just don't see it. but who knows, maybe this is the sign of the "real change" that is coming to washington LOL!

Andrew Luck

Well were on opposite ends. I think Luck will turn out to be a decent pro not a Hall of Fame player but I think RRG3 will be the big bust of this draft. Compare his numbers to top talent versus Andrew Luck, and you just might be surprised. Luck played well against some pretty tough defenses RG3 did not. Plus RG3 had a top WR Luck had zip.

Robert Griffin III 15-22-320 yards 2TD vs the NCAA's #14 Defense

Common opponents

Washington Huskies:
RG 24-33-295-1 TD
AL 16-21-169-2TD

OSU Cowboys
RG 33-50-425-2
AL 27-31-347-2

Luck didn't play against any tougher defenses than RGIII. Neither the BigXII nor the PAC12 had more than a couple of teams ranked higher than 60th in total defense.

Both look like really good QBs to me.

I like Griffin but do not think his chances will bode well getting drafted by the dysfunctional Redskins, I think that is their plan by what I have heard when they traded them picks to the Rams...which team a guy goes to plays a big part and that might be the kiss of death for him and his legacy

RG3. Draft position is the biggest factor I consider when classifying someone a bust. 3 1sts and a 2nd for a team that needs a lot more than 1 player to have a shot? I couldn't justify that for any single player. I would love to see RG3 succeed, but he's gotta be freaking amazing to live up to his cost

Don't know about busts, but I see plenty of candidates for worst reach.

Justin Blackmon if he goes top 5-10.

The style might be the same but RGIII is a much better passer than Vick coming out of VA Tech & also Newton IMO. If Griffin can withstand the NFL pounding I think he's a star! Imagine trying to defend RGIII on a Shanahan stable...the play action bootleg.
