True QBOF's don't make their way onto 3 teams in 3 years. Barkley may very well be a decent back-up but he is no QBOF. I believe the issue here is he doesn't fit BA's system but neither does Stanton. Barkley's ceiling should be Brian Hoyer.
Well I guess Kurt Warner would never have passed your test.

You don't become great right away...this has been his first chance to lead. And has done a very good job. I think in the long run...he will prove me right

More INTs than TDs is not a "great job"

He could have easily been a better backup than Stanton... My buddy is a huge Bears fan, and said many of his int's were bounced right off of receivers hands.

He's better than Stanton for one reason alone.... He can get past his first read.

Barkley is a backup QB. That's what he is and has nothing to be ashamed of for it. The Brian Hoyer comparison is a good one.

That's the fourth pick of the day for Bears QB Matt Barkley. Didn't have control of that pass and sailed the ball over the top of Alshon Jeffery.

Barkley Had a chance, I would have risked him at back up and traded Stanton to the jets. Because Barkley had an unknown peak and Stanton is what he is and will be.

I think Barkley reminds me of Vinny Testaverde...without a strong arm...He'll tease you with talent, throw for a ton of yards, but in the end all of his mistakes will leave you crying in your towel.
