Put it down in stone now so we can laugh at you later....

In 2012 I said Michael Floyd, hoped to hell we wouldn't pick him, and then we did.

In 2013 I have the horrible suspicion that history will repeat itself. I am going with Lane Johnson, and hope to hell that we don't pick him.

So there you have it. In 5 years when he is a lock for the Hall of Fame you can all ridicule me.

Lane Johnson

....edited to fix an unclear/misleading sentence.

History repeats? Has Floyd been proven to be a bust as of yet?

I thought I would check out how our "bust" did last year:

Kendall Wright 64 catches for 626 yards
Justin Blackmon 64 catches for 856 yards
Alshon Jeffery 24 catches for 367 yards
Stephen Hill 21 catches for 252 yards
TY Hilton 50 catches for 861 yards
Rod Streater 39 catches for 584 yards
Josh Gordon 50 catches for 805 yards
Ryan Broyles 22 catches for 310 yards
AJ Jenkins 0 catches for 0 yards yards
Brian Quick 11 catches for 156 yards
Chris Givens 42 catches for 698 yards
TJ Graham 31 catches for 322 yards
Devier Posey 6 catches for 87 yards
Mohamed Sanu 16 catches for 154 yards
Ruben Randle 19 catches for 298 yards

Micheal Floyd 45 catches for 562

So basically 5th in catches and 7th in yards. All with the worst QB / OLine I have seen in a long time. I wouldn't call him a bust yet.

If he goes #1 overall, Eric Fisher. He's going to be okay, but not worth the #1 overall pick.

The repeats part is about how I labelled him as a big bust and then we drafted him. I am hoping that we don't draft Lane Johnson but we just might do it anyway.

I don't think Floyd can be viewed as a success or bust yet guys.... In fact, I was pleased with the way he ended the season. Time will tell.

Who knows, but if I had to guess I'd guess that dude who has only been playing football for a couple hours. No way to gage how he will pan out, physical talent only gets you so far, his mentals must be OK for him to be reguarded so high and all...but he could also go the other way I suppose and be a pimp for all I know. Guessing the bust isn't my forte.

Itll be Ansah

He didnt discover the sport of football till like 2 years back. Hes nothing but a big, fast dude. Everyone in the NFL is big and fast. Hes going to get drummed out of the NFL extremely quickly.

So youre 0-for since Floyd isnt a Bust?....

Newsflash, Larry Fitzgerald, a HOFr had some of the worst numbers for a WR last year ,league wide, you are seriously acting like Michael Floyd, a rookie, was expected to put up 1,000 yards and 10 TD's?

child please

Geno Smith will be the bust.

I see Akili Smith when I watch tape on him

Im prob the only guy on this board wholl confidently say I believe Geno is a very good QB and would be thrilled to draft him at #7.

Mainly because his deep ball prowess is some of the best Ive ever seen. Ever. and this a deep ball offense now. 2 + 2.

So, theres a risk we may be missing out on our franchise guy this year. Maybe not, but maybe so.
