Really? How do you figure that? He's already worse than most of the roster, including Chriss.

You voted for George King and Elie Okobo as the Suns worst players. So now you want 3 bites at the apple?

Maybe you should question your thinking.

Maybe you should work on your reading comprehension. George King and Elie Okobo ARE the worst Suns players. But they aren't rotation players, right? My argument is pretty simple--if Daniels is a rotation player (I think minimally he is), then he is the Suns worst rotational player.

But again, the question wasn't who will be the most disappointing or what player in the rotation will be the worst, but who will be the WORST, period. And I'd say King/Okobo and by extension Daniels, fit the bill.

Going by PER I believe it will be the same as last year, Davon Reed. For the regular rotation players, either Bender or Chriss

Are they? I'm convinced if these guys all showed up for the first time right now with no history, no draft position, no contract, no salary etc. that Bender would be our clear cut worst player. Hopefully he'll be better by the start of the season but had he been a 2nd round pick I really believe we would have already cut him.

The topic was who is the Suns worst player? It was not who is the Suns worst rotational player. Granted the topic evolved after my selection of Chriss but I saw no need to change my answer since the discussion was for fun... or so I thought. I thought Chriss was a good nominee.

By the way, almost by definition, the Suns worst player would not be a rotation player.

Sorry 'bout that. That was my fault for introducing the "rotation" portion of this. I just couldn't figure out how you decide between two or three players who don't play. You can't even suck if you don't play.

That's nice to think about, but Reed is nowhere near the shooter Daniels is. That's going to matter.

So is defense. Daniels can literally do nothing but shoot. Even without Reed, you still have Bridges. I just don't see how Daniels gets off the bench, outside of some weird special shooting lineups like Booker, Daniels, Bridges, Ariza, Bender.

This argument could be resolved pretty easily by defining the question. How about worst in overall plus-minus, or net win shares, or some other objective measurement?

It doesn't matter. It's all good. We are all trying to find something to talk about.

That is why I went by PER since it wasn't defined. Bender's PER a Brutal 7.1 last year but Reed was a 4...

Chriss was a 10.1 my guess is that one of them ends up sub 10 and the other about a 12.

Coming off an injury that didn't see him return fully to form until after the season ended. His only real shortcoming is a lack of quickness which will always be a problem for him throughout his career. But losing another half step as he recovered was a real killer for him - even the refs out ran him.

Just in a limited short sample, I can say King did hustle a lot in Summer League. He could be our hustle player off the bench. Again I know it was Summer League, but Okoboe showed some real flashes shooting and passing. Not convinced on his handle yet. Again these two had some short samples to go by. Probably being lower round rookie picks by default you pick either one, but I see there is an interesting debate on exactly why a guy is the worst.

I agree Chandler still has enough game he won't be the worst. I mean, watching last season were there times you were actually embarrassed he was on the court? Dudley had a couple games that were like, wow! I was never that embarrassed at all by Chandler.

I noticed no one mentioned the Richaun Holmes or Daryll Arthur.

Well, Arthur doesn't count since he won't even be on the roster when the season begins. And even if he was, I don't think he'd be the worst player either. Holmes is better than people are giving him credit for, so no, I don't think he's close to the worst either.

Holmes has a lot of highlights dunking, but not so many shooting. I am curious in what the Suns see in him, since he doesn't appear to be a stretch the floor big you would think Igor is looking for.

He's a young practice body that has some shot blocking skills. I think he was acquired because the price was right and he's better to put on Ayton in practice every day than Chandler since Chandler will not hold up to the daily grind of the season. Even if he just spells Chandler when Tyson inevitably misses games, it's a low cost option. I'm sure some would have liked to have brought back Big Sauce but since we're going to be playing a little small with Ariza at PF, we'll need a Center with size that can protect the rim and Big Sauce isn't that guy.

I'll buy that. Supposedly this guy is a hidden gem type player. I was thinking if we did trade Chandler, this guy would be insurance for that guy to spell Ayton.

Holmes is absolutely a better player than Alan Williams. I know people love the guy, but there's a reason he's still sitting at home.

I'm not sure if Holmes gets much better but I think he will be an adequate backup for Ayton especially if Chandler does not play in back-to-back games. He can dunk and defend the rim. As you note, he is insurance if the Suns use Chandler in a trade and they got him so reasonably.

Holmes could be a poor mans Gobert. Maybe he'll be used much in the same way.

I'd say Jerrod Mustaf since he had his pregnant girlfriend murdered. Oh... you mean this year?

Bumping this up since we got Anderson. Does that change anyone's answer?

It changes mine because Brandon Knight got my vote. Also my second choice has disappeared and I don't think Troy Daniels makes the roster. That leaves Bender as proven weak spot - I hope Igor can breathe some life into him but I think it's a long shot.

Edit: If this is a formal poll I can't see how to get to it, to change my vote... come to think of it, I don't recall it being one.

It was just more of an idea since Dudley left who was my choice.
