I still think its Chandler. But I am not expecting Anderson to be that good.

I also started the thread because I am not sure which guy would be the worst. I mean no one on paper at least seems that horrible to stand out to me.

Every team has bad players, I assumed the thread was about who would have the worst impact. Which is why I leaned towards Knight or Bender.

With Knight gone and Anderson reducing Bender's role...

I think it's gotta be one of the point guards. There might be another trade to come but until then we're looking at a point guard rotation of a teenager from France, a 20 year old who didn't play last season in college because the FBI was investigating him and 2 G-League players. If we're lucky ONE of those guys is ready to be a legit NBA rotation player, which still leaves us with a lot of minutes allocated to players who are not ready for the spot light. More likely, we've got a revolving door at PG all year long, so, maybe the position as a whole is our worst player.

Or, maybe, we swing a trade and get a legit starter.

Not holding my breath.

I think you've nailed the worst and best of it.

Somewhere when I googled last night they had pictures of every guy who played point for the Suns last season. It was a LONG row of pictures, LOL.

It changes mine because Brandon Knight got my vote. Also my second choice has disappeared and I don't think Troy Daniels makes the roster. That leaves Bender as proven weak spot - I hope Igor can breathe some life into him but I think it's a long shot.

Edit: If this is a formal poll I can't see how to get to it, to change my vote... come to think of it, I don't recall it being one.

I picked Chriss because I didn't think he was in the Suns plan and you picked Knight. I think we covered the worst player quite nicely.

Not surprisingly, we are of opposite views on the PGs. I'm so tickled to have two very good defenders at the position, regardless of their ages. Heck, if Canaan is back to normal, we have two very good defenders and one that's good. With Kokoskov running the show, I'm betting that our PG slot will be one of the highlights of the year.

Bumping this up since we got Anderson. Does that change anyone's answer?

Yes, I will vote for Anderson, A) if he actually ends up on the final roster, and B) he actually gets significant playing time... and more so if he ends up starting. It's going to be a real pleasure watching Ayton have to scramble from baseline to sideline trying to cover Anderson's defensive assignment when he leaves Anderson standing frozen at half court.

The remainder of the "bad" players on the team will only get limited minutes and really aren't going to be blocking better players from minutes... Anderson on the other hand might be getting 30 minutes a game, if the Suns are really that foolish. Barf.

Dragan Bender is still on this team, somehow.

They've said that players won't be "gifted" minutes this season, they'll have to earn them. Had that been the case the past two seasons, Dragan would have seen very little court time. So, either he improves and plays or he won't be the worst player because he won't be playing much at all. So I'll go with Anderson.

I didn't watch Anderson much last season but if all the Suns want from him is to spread the court with his shooting he shouldn't be terrible. Also a lot depends if Bender makes some progress. Ariza could still end up being the Suns starting PF and Bender/Anderson depth players at this position.

Ryan Anderson is overpaid but he is a NBA player that contributes.

Bender is a nothing. There is only one possible answer to this thread, Bender or one of the 2nd round rookies.

I agree that Bender or one of the late picks will be the worst player on the roster. But if you're talking about actually seeing court time and hurting us the most, that will likely be Anderson or our starting point guard.

Anderson played 27mpg for the team with the best record in the league this past year.

I highly doubt he will hurt us the most.

Why do we want to talk about who will be the worst player on the roster? I guess we have time to kill.

Because the "Give your reasons for firing McD" thread is getting old and no one has yet started the following threads yet.

"Reasons I hate the Suns"
"Why the Suns will Never Win a Championship"
"How Do You Fire an Owner?"
"Why I am Worried Devin Booker will not Live up to his contract?"
"Why cant the Suns ever get the first pick?" (Oh yeah, scratch that)

Man. I guess I am the only guy who thinks the 21 year old Bender has some potential. I think he played some decent defense last year. When he was aggressive shooting the three he had some good games. He is just not consistent bringing it all game.

Not by a long shot. Many of us believe he has a lot of potential. Some here even believe he will actually reach that potential. But he has the kind of potential that occasionally blossoms but usually ends up getting someone fired. I absolutely would not draft him in the first round if we had it to do over again but he's ours so I see no reason to give up on him yet.

There is no way he lasts until the second round. A seven footer that can move his feet like a guard. You just don't get those guys like that every day.

Okay, then, 3rd round.:) Seriously, there is no freaking way he'd go in the first round if he were being drafted today. IMO. Neither would Chriss but he'd go well before Dragan. Again, IMO.
