I'd pass. He's a talented player but they don't need that baggage.

I might push this to the fourth or fifth round, but in spirit, this guy doesn't fall off my board because of the character issues, which I think is part of what this question is really asking.

We'd have a wealth of young talent in the backfield.

No earlier than the 5th round. If he interviews extremely well then maybe the fourth. I do think RB2 is a bigger need than most though. If DJ goes down it could be a long year.

I would draft him ahead of Dalvin Cook or Dede Westbrook

So the same board that wanted to "bury Floyd under the prison" for driving drunk wants to draft this douchebag? Not surprising. Liberalism at its finest. I say no. Let this scumbag pollute someone else's locker room.

So you'd still take Aaron Hernandez then?

How are either of these arguments valid?

#1 -- Hernandez committed murder.. multiple murders at that.
#2 -- Floyd has multiple DUIs and has shown no remorse.

I'd hate to be a kid growing up around y'all and make a mistake, even a seriously bad mistake. I'll never be able to get an opportunity to make things right. The kid made a TERRIBLE decision and deserves a second chance. If he slips up again, then by all means.. count him out. But jeez...

I think I understand more than 99% of the population the necessity of second chances. My issues with the kid are that
1) he obviously has no family support system. No decent people raise woman beaters.
2) Where's his remorse? All I saw were lies and deflections.
Maybe I'm wrongs. It's def happened before. Show me where he came out and was honest and open about it? I saw I guy who lied and tried to push the blame on the victim until the video came out.

What he did was abhorrent and unacceptable.

That said, were years removed from the situation and, by all accounts, Mixon has been on his best behavior since.

Keim has taken chances on character red flags.

Would you draft Greg Hardy if you knew he beat the hell out of women continually? How about Dweed again if he had 4 failed drug tests? How about Randy Gregory whom admitted he loved smoking weed? Would Aldon Smith be on your draft board with all his DUIs & other issues?

Come on guys, this guy is pure freaking trouble!!! When a guy hits a woman like he did, the guy should be wearing an orange jumpsuit not an NFL football uniform!!! :mulli:

He's not even on my board in the old draft when there were 27 rounds

Well, Fiito answered me in the affirmative so there's that:
Yeah same thing there

And a mistake? So, breaking a woman's jaw is just a mistake to you? My God has society really fallen in the crapper lately when breaking someone's jaw, especially a someone who is much smaller and weaker then the assailant is considered a mistake. How about giving the chances to the players who don't screw up like that. But nope. Sports talent trumps all I guess.

No b/c RB is set and you that pick would useful at another position. If he's lasting late into day-3 I wouldn't have a problem with them taking him.

I obviously have a problem with someone who punches a woman and Mixon hit her so hard he broke her jaw.

I struggle with the idea that one strike and your out. Doesn't a person who does a bad thing have the right to turn his life around. Maybe he was abused as a child. Maybe he had anger management issues and has fixed them through the therapy and counseling that he has received.

I didn't want Mike Vick to be a Cardinal but I also didn't have an issue with the Eagles giving him a second chance. I don't want Mixon to be a Cardinal but I don't have an issue with another team giving him a second chance.

If someone wants to sell you a new car that has a few dents in it, do you buy it?

What about a pre-owned car?

And at what price?

And how bad the dents?

Mercedes or Edsel?

Or do you decide to buy a Schwinn instead?

And how new is the Schwinn? (Oh never mind).

The extent of her injuries from 1 punch say more about her milk consumption than anything. Theres plenty of women who'd take it like a champ and still be standing.

The problem is his decision to throw a punch at all, the results are irrelevant.
