Trade update: Cardinals trade their 38th, 69th, and 80th picks for the 17th overall pick in the first round.

Call me crazy! Call me loco! But don't call me if you don't have my number!

Started with... 5, 38, 69, and 102.

Then it was... 16, 38, 49, 69, and 80.

Now the picks I have are... 16, 17, and 49!

Yeah it's only 3 picks but I will be done early and I am good with how this worked out. I imagine I am done trading now. :D

Well I got my picks in, let me know what you guys think.

1 Green
2 Peterson
3 Newton
4 Bowers
5 (Jags pick from Az) Gabbert
6 Fairley
7 9ers take Von Miller
8 Dareus
9 Cowboys take Amukamara
10 Julio Jones
11 Quinn
12 Cameron Jordan
13 Nate Solder
14 Aldon Smith
15 Mark Ingram
16 Arizona Cards select Tyron Smith/OT "The USC"
17 Arizona Cards select Justin Houston/OLB/DE Georgia

I feel like I brought in some first round talent that could benefit our biggest needs on both sides of the ball and it was a lot of work turning the 5th pick into the 16 and 17. (I was PMing about five other guest GMs back and forth)
I only have one pick left though, (mid second rounder-49th) so I guess I just gotta wait and see who is still there.

I wasn't looking for practice squad guys, or guys that need to develop for 2-3 years. I think Justin Houston (10 sacks last year, he just got bigger and can go 3-4 or 4-3) would be a great weapon for Horton to have, and Tyron Smith was quite simply my favorite O-line guy in the entire draft. :)

Great. You just used our first pick in the 2011 draft on a guy we won't need until 2018.

That's the number of sacks allowed. I know the QB issues inflate that number but that's just ****ing unacceptable.

The Cards also lead the league in untouched stats, thanks in part to Brandon Keith who was responsible for 2 of the 10. QB got the rest I assume.

Dawg, Hope your boogey woogey brain is fully recovered.

I like both players and they do fill needs. Houston immediately at SOLB and Smith adds the feet we need at LT. This year or next he takes over at LT and Levi slides to the LG position.

Draft a SILB and call it a day. Now if you can slide back some and acquire another pick and draft a TE as well then jumanji.

See my post in your sack thread. This is nothing new and the current offensive line is nowhere near as bad as the 1997 line.

Just because it has been consistently bad doesn't mean the Cards shouldn't try and improve it.
