I'm basing that on a lot of people saying that when Q gets the ball in his hands, he turns into a running back. Running backs typically don't have long careers due to the punishment they absorb. Q has already had a lot of injuries because he doesn't go down on first contact. Don't get me wrong, I love watching him destroy cb's and would be tacklers, but that style of play also leads to more injuries than a guy that goes out of bounds or goes down on first contact.

I don't have stats and all that to back it up, it's just common sense.

Of course RB's dont have as long of career in general. They are usually breaking through a DL loaded with guys that weigh an average of 300+ pounds. They are getting pounded by the same guys including at the 2nd level being pounded by LBers that are 250+ on average.

WR's in general are being tackled by 180lb DB's and on some occasions the LBers. There is a huge difference IMO in the type and level of pounding a RB takes as compared to a WR.

Q's first injury was a freak non contact cartiledge injury that happened during warm-ups in training camp and had nothing to do with his style of play.

His second injury that cause missed time was a knee bruise which could be attributed to his style but was nothing serious.

His 3rd injury last season was his hip which was another freak injury because he was tackled in an awkward position and had nothing to do with his style of play.

Nor did his dislocated toe at the end of last season have anyting to do with style of play it was a freak accident again untouched while running a route.

Nothing in any of those injuries shows or proves that he will have a shorter career overall.

Good point, hadn't thought about it that way.

Cambell was forever lowering his head and running into linebackers. CBs on the other hand would run away when they saw Earl thundering in their direction.

the "Tyler Rose" one of my all-time favorites. It's soooooo sad to see the state of Campbell today.
