Forgive me, but I'm going into an infinite loop like my pc at home does on occasion. I keep thinking the Suns presently only have a 12 man roster and the last 3 players are EP, Marks and Burke. I see no hope there.

I sure hope the Suns are planning on adding at least one more player that can get some playing time. Who is going to be the thirteenth player (Lampe might make a good 14th player)? Will it be another minimum type player to just fill out the roster? Are the Suns ever going to carry more than 13 players like some other teams? And whatever happened to the Diaw negotiations? Are the Suns even thinking remotely about using the TE? Do the Suns believe in giving the media and the fans just a tidbit of information concerning their thinking?

At least BC was good about talking to the media and doing a little PR work so the fans at least had a clue.

It's August, ALWAYS the slowest month for basketball. If it wasn't for Team USA, ESPN would have a dead section of their site. NOTHING has happened this month. Usually at least something semi-good happens, but so far, nothing this year. Eddie House and Scot Pollard certainly don't qualify.

Yes, it's the dog days of summer and apparently my thinking has gone to the dogs. However, I would think there would be some mention of the TE expiring on 8-21-06. I don't even know if the Suns have explored using it... at least recently.

Maybe no news is good news.

It may be August and the slowest month of the year, but if the suns do not have some kind of trade working, they are not going to get another big man from free agency or with the TE unless they act very soon.

The Bobcats received Ely for a 2nd round pick two years ago and now the word is they want a lot for him but will trade him. A late first and the TE should do it. I would think the suns would be interested at that unless the total dollars for the team are getting to the point where Sarver is saying no to anything other than minimum contracts. If that is the case we basically have our team unless they sign another 13th player for the minimum. (That is a big that is not going to play at all).
Ely is going to make 3,308,615 next year on the qualifying offer.

I would not be surprised at all if the Phoenix Suns signed Jumaine Jones to a small contract. I don't see them offering much for Ely. I really believe they want to hold on to those first-round draft picks for next summer. They obviously are not going to take three players in the first round, but having all those pics does get them options. Ely is a nice player. I don't think he's that great though.
