8. Mavericks versus 9. Suns...

Who is gonna let down their fanbase more?

Sorry I am in a mood that wouldn't be described as jolly.

Suns absolutely need this game or their season is over. I'd say its currently as close to being over without actually being so. A loss is basically a 2 game swing and would almost certainly eliminate their chances of making it in. But a win at least puts them back into the running. (Although the prize is losing 4-0 / 3-1 to the Lakers.)

We can only hope the Mavs choke towards the end of the season like they did in the finals.

We can only hope the Suns doesn't choke toward the end of every game like they did this entire season.

We can this win if we play some semblance of defense, as in keeping the Mavs somewhat under 50% shooting. In other words, don't hold your breath. :p

Time to start a winning streak longer than 3 games. Might as well start with the Mavs on Tuesday night

Go Suns!

I want ping pong balls.

Consider this... unless the Suns have a chance to chose in the top 3, they can't evaluate talent, therefore the draft is a complete waste and the pick will be a bust. Look at the draft picks we have kept, and then compare them to those that we have given away. I don't see how any Suns' fan would be anxious for the draft... sort of like a death row inmate hoping his final meal is warm.

Doesn't every team that has ping pong balls have an outside chance of picking first? If we could by some act of God get the number 2 or 3 pick, we have a chance at Harden.

There's absolutely zero chance Sarver passes on Harden regardless of what Griffin's opinion on him is. After all, that's an extra 2k season ticket holders and countless more jersey sales.

He won't pass on Jordan Hill either for basketball reasons with Amare probably on his way out and for the PR boost. Griffin supposedly doesn't like Budinger so no need to be concerned there.

If Harden is the guy you might as well blow eveything up (although I'd blow it up regardless of who they drafted, this team blows) and start building the team to be a more defense-oriented halfcourt team. I'm not sure Harden would fit well in the Nash-dominated system of the last several years, Harden's the kind of player who plays best with the ball in his hands creating shots for himself and others. If you draft a backcourt player top 3 you have to start running the offense and building the team through him as soon as possible.

It's not about season ticket holders or jersey sales, other than Blake Griffin (man/beast), Harden is the BPA. Thabeet is way overrated.

Sorry anyone hoping this team gets a decent lotto pick is really kidding themselves we would end up getting the highest number possible and the pick would be worthless. Anytime you have a chance of going to the playoffs you do no telling what could happen if this team gels and/or other teams get to relaxed or any major injuries. I mean seriously if Kobe went down say with a season ending eye injury would they still be the favorite....HELL NO! Anything can happen over the next month you play your ass off because your a professional and you should be playing your ass off every night even if you can't play defense, just play offense better than anyone else and you still have a chance.

well if the suns somehow win on tuesay, they might have a decent chance on making up some ground consdering that mavericks play portland in portland on Wensday. But this is a must win game for the suns if they even want to sniff at having a shot of making the playoffs....

yes, they must repeat the blowout last time with the Mavs and I think we have a good chance since J-Ho is not playing. Let's hope we can contain Dirk and keep Terry in the ice cage.

Let me ask you a question... how long have you been watching the NBA and the NBA Draft? The Suns have zero chance of pulling the #3-#1 Draft pick, even if they were in as high as the Sixth position. And by 'Act of God'... well, here is the bad news. David Stern is God, and he isn't going to rig this draft for the Suns like he did for NY.

The Suns are going to have to learn how to evaluate talent between now and June and hope that a 'talented' player is available with the #14 pick... wow, that isn't going to happen either.

Speaking in absolutes gets people in trouble.

Houston won the 'Yao Ming' sweepstakes being in the 5th position and about a 9% The 6th position gives you about a 6% chance of winning.

The Suns would have less than a 1% chance of getting the #1 pick, but it is possible.
