What cracks me up is that both your teams did that because they know their current model cannot beat the Spurs when playoff time comes around. If the Spurs are healthy going into the playoffs, even with the new toys, both teams won't be able to beat the Spurs, 4 out of 7, unless they learn how to play together as effectively as the Spurs do. The time for that was in the off-season, but since the trade was done now...both teams have to integrate A STARTER into their style of play. Spurs just have to integrate a backup PG. That will be immensely much easier.
While you guys whoop and holler, the Spurs will do what they always do...fly under the radar and then stomp on both your teams on the way to the title.
Hey man...I'd be interested in your take on the Shaq trade.
Re: Gasol, he is a perfect match for the triangle. His skillset is great for it. His first game, even being coached on the floor, he apparently was fantastic in the system (I say apparently because I haven't watched the game yet). the adjustment there is very minimal.
I venture that the Suns adjustment to Shaq is much more involved.
Oh, and we'll beat you.
