What cracks me up is that both your teams did that because they know their current model cannot beat the Spurs when playoff time comes around. If the Spurs are healthy going into the playoffs, even with the new toys, both teams won't be able to beat the Spurs, 4 out of 7, unless they learn how to play together as effectively as the Spurs do. The time for that was in the off-season, but since the trade was done now...both teams have to integrate A STARTER into their style of play. Spurs just have to integrate a backup PG. That will be immensely much easier.
While you guys whoop and holler, the Spurs will do what they always do...fly under the radar and then stomp on both your teams on the way to the title.

Hey man...I'd be interested in your take on the Shaq trade.

Re: Gasol, he is a perfect match for the triangle. His skillset is great for it. His first game, even being coached on the floor, he apparently was fantastic in the system (I say apparently because I haven't watched the game yet). the adjustment there is very minimal.

I venture that the Suns adjustment to Shaq is much more involved.

Oh, and we'll beat you. :D

Spurs?? You can beat suns but not Gasol Bynum and the Lakers. Sorry!

This is an outrageous statement.. When did Pao become anything more than a 7 footer that could shoot the outside shot? I swear laker fans are crazy sometimes.. But its like that with the cowboy and yankee fans too.. They get every front running fan in america.. Any idiot can see a team winning.. Sticking with your true home team is what builds character..

nope.. packers fans are nothing like cowboys, yankees or laker fans..

"Sticking with your true home team is what builds character.."

Your true home team is the Packers.

If you move to Philly, who will be your team?

If you move to LA, will you become a Laker fan?

My home is in PHX, AZ.. Did you miss that or something? My home in WI lasted all of the first 5 years of my life.. My family that lives in WI doesnt even try to give me crap when I wear Cards jerseys when I visit them.. Its how our family is.. They are proud of me for supporting my home teams no matter how bad they may suck..

Kobe knocking Shaq out of the playoffs and into retirement will be orgasmic.

The converse will be even more devastating. If the suns win that will make 2 championships shaq has won since he left LA and kobe cant even get to the second round.

Gasol has played one game against a poopy Nets team I wouldn't take that as its going to work out perfectly for the lakers. Not to mention Kobe is not gonna only score that little most nights, he will want to be the man like he always does. They are just trying to work Gasol in but that will change even with Bynum. Your Gasol experiement is far from a successful one at this point, down the road we shall see.
The Spurs are old and I think they are about done, something is not right with them. The Suns made themselves stack up better against some big teams and if Shaq is even 80% with the rest of the shooting on our team we should be able to beat ANY TEAM.

Not a packer fan, but I know a bunch here from WI, they have way more knowledge and class than Yankee or laker fans. Cowboy fans are the worst frontrunners of all.

We will see hopefully Laker Freak, I love when they come out of the woodwork, how about getting out of the first round. Post shaq you guys have been terrible. Gasol is perfect for you guys as he has never been out of the first round either! Lakers fans who think they have a championship team this year, are a little delusional. I guess you expect all these young guys like Bynum, Ariza, Farmar to just tear it up in the playoffs? Your team is young and looks to be good for the next few years but not a championship contender THIS year.
