Last year we were a very good team in most areas with one glaring weakness, scoring touchdowns in the redzone. If we could have scored touchdowns half the time we got inside the 20 the season would have been totally different. We were ranked in the top 10 in both offense and defence and all I see is improvements.

We also lost a lot of guys to injury, including the oline..Boldin for several games, and we lost our probowl defensive end Bertrand Berry.

Now we've gone from having guys noone has heard about at running back to having Edge, arguably a top three running back. I think Johnson is going to have a breakout year and with the addition of Pope grabbing those touchdowns in the corner I think that problem will mostly be solved. We have also (I think) improved our o-line.

If (probably just when) Warner goes down, I think Leinart will come in and do a great job. I liked McCown from time to time, but he made me nervous, I think Leinart will be a definite upgrade.

The only real subtraction I see is Karlos Dansby. If he can come back and play as well as last year we should be set.

Most of our players also now have a couple years of experience with most of the coaches. How many teams out there have as much talent as we do? Barring injures, I just don't see how we shouldn't win 10 games or more.

We have to play exceptionally well at home to even think about 10 wins. If this stadium turns out to be the advantage we are all hoping for, then just maybe. To get to 10 wins, I think we'd have to win at least 7 at home. I still think we will have some struggles on the road. Road wins are the last thing to fall into place for winning teams.

We also have to prove we can win on the road. What a great start it would be if we could go into Seattle and beat the Hawks on the road. It is still hard to believe that we only had two rushing touchdowns last year. I expect Edge to beat or tie that record in game one.

Forget 10+ wins right now. Better take it one step at a time. 8-8 would be good to start with. Anything beyond that is icing on the cake. I hope we can get 10+ but better to be realistic at this point. It is a long season.

Anything is possible. Every year 3 or 4 teams make a move and 3 or 4 teams fall off. I see the Cards as 1 of the teams that could make a move. Home Division games are THE most important games to win followed closely by road division. If we could hold service at home within the division ( 3 wins) and sweep the RAms and 49ers (2 more wins) that would give us 5 wins and all the tiebreakers within the division.
The Lions and Packers are 2 games we should win(imho) that makes 7 wins. Lets throw the Raiders under the bus and that gives us 8 wins.
We would need 2 wins against the following teams. At the Falcons, Chiefs, Bears, Cowboys , at Minny, home against the Broncos, and at San Diego.

Take your pick.
