Nah, a company man is that guy in the song that can't go see Saint Peter because he owes his soul to the company store. Cheese is screwed.

The company man is the guy running the store. Not the guy shopping in it because he's broke and the store* will let him run a tab, with interest, until payday.

*Company owned and run and the only store in town

All, having been around in one guise or another since the dark days on the old aol board I rarely if ever stop by here anymore. So it was interesting to see this thread. After Skorps passing, the site sale and subsequent ad overload I found other sources for Cardinals news.
That said I'm here for another reason. After 25 years of actively following the team I will be stepping away. Through good times and bad I've bled red. The ride to the super bowl was tremendous, and days in the south end zone memorable for their comradary. But I see now another trough in the sea of red coming and do not wish to expend anymore of my limited time or energy on what is about to become an inevitable decline over the next several seasons. I wish you all the best and the team good fortune.
With regards

I think you're wrong on your conclusion, we may not be a super bowl contender as billed but this is a solid front office and I don't believe we'll return to those dog days any time soon. But this is supposed to enrich your life, not make you miserable. And if you no longer enjoy following this team it makes sense to look elsewhere for that enjoyment. I think we all sympathize with how frustrating it can get at times.

If you change your mind, I'd imagine many of us will still be hanging around here or whichever Cards forum you choose to return to.

As for me, well, I'd be on here a hell of a lot more often if not for being in high school. As for the meetup idea, hell, I'd be down. Now I just have to convince Old Man RedRage to give me a ride across the country...

I agree with everyone mentioning increased Cards coverage elsewhere. I often came here because for years the Cards would barely get a mention. You'd wait for, say, a talk radio segment to get to the Cards preview and they'd just throw out a pick and move on.

But I still come here whenever it feels like it's been too long since I've seen the acronym QBOTF.
