Doesn't he live in Arizona or not? I know it would be a homer pick but any guy that played the way he did should know a thing or two or even three about the postition and how it should be played.

Playing a position and coaching it are two different things entirely. On top of that who says he is even the slightest bit interested in coaching?

How about Rob Moore for that matter?

It's hard to say. Like Shane said, not everyone can be a good coach and teach the fundamentals needed to succeed in the NFL.

Rob Moore and Roy Green have both done radio work out here. No coaching that I know of.

As usual, the hire will probably come from the circles of Whis and his assistants. I doubt Green and Moore are in that ring.

I've noticed that rarely do "Star" players make good coaches. They usually had exceptional altheltic ability and have a hard time understanding that all players can't do it as easy as they did.

Now, a star like J.Rice who was a workout warrior and a perfectionist would make a good coach, but he probably has too much money to be bothered being a coach.

The players that make good coaches are players that overachive despite limited altheltic ability. Intelligent players. High motor guys. Someone like Wayne Chrebet.

I think Green and Moore have the experience but the reason high profile players make poor coaches is they usually aren't willing to put in the time it takes to be a successful coach. If you listen to Green on the radio he leads a pretty leisurely lifestyle. He does a little radio, golfs, does charity events and pretty much takes it easy. I don't see him putting in those 20 hour days or sleeping over at the team facility like most successful coaches do now days.

Rob Moore makes sense.

Yeah, that way he could teach the get open, catch ball and then fall down method of receiving that he was so good at. :D

Hopefully they find someone who not only has the ability but the desire. I think it is important since we do have a lot of young WRs that are still developing...like Spurlock, McCoy, Watkins and Lee.
