I see a decent young player, but not the can't miss guy that many seem to think he is. He wasn't a dominant player in the Pac-10, very good, but not dominant. Look at the stats, then think about the pro game.

ppg-12.9 45%-that shooting percentage against defenses that are a breeze compared to the NBA.

rpg-8.4-Darn impressive for a kid his size, but he isn't going to be doing that in the bigs. He's not a banger, and will be covering guys away from the basket.

apg-4.9-Again, pretty good, but toss in about 3 TO's a game and against lesser D, and you have someone that isn't going to see numbers like this at the next level.

bpg-11 blocks in 30 games. Nothing to write home about. The athlete he's supposed to be would have made me think that total to be higher.

Overall, I see a kid that could be a contributor someday, but really needs to improve his overall fundimentals. I don't see someone the would make me believe we really screwed up not staying at #7.

Iggy's "value" is that he is a great athlete, plays defense, and has some skills. Compare him to guys like Josh Smith who is a great athlete and he looks awfully good (Smith fell to #17). Iggy is more athletic than Deng and plays hard.

That being said, I felt he was only a marginally better prospect than Luke Jackson. This was not a great draft compared to last year's top ten so it is not surprising to find huge holes in the games of most of the top ten players.

I think Iguodala is going to be a very good NBA basketball player, and the Phoenix Suns will most likely regret missing out on him. It may have been a mistake to trade that pick , but hindsight is 20/20. The Phoenix Suns thought players like Devin Harris and Josh Childress were likely to slip to them, and they preferred the chance that a good draft pick next season, some more salary cap, the second-round draft pick, and cash.
