Why worried about Nash's age?

He doesn't rely on athleticism. He relies on smarts, passing and shooting.

John Stockton was a premium PG and was a lot older than Nash. Until last season Payton was also still great and might come back next year in a different system.

That's a good point, but I dont think he will be able to play more than 30 mins a game. Thats ok though, because barbs, jj can also play point. One thing that really stands out about mavs game is how nash really takes charge on that team. He makes that team go and makes everyone around him better. I think marion and amare will be better because of him, however jj might have a hard time because he wont have the ball in his hands as much.

He played 34 a game last year, I don't see any reason why he can't do at least that much next year.

Because this is what a salary cap does to fans. We micro manage everything. We can't be happy that we just extremely upgraded our offense.

No we have to make sure it fits within our "paradigm" of how a salary structure should work...down to years, escalators, voidables...you name it.

We aren't just couch coaches anymore, we are now back seat GMs, second guessing every move our teams make.

It really sucks that it has come to this. There is no innocence for a sports fan anymore.

Hopefully the Suns get on german TV now that they have Nash. ;)
Since he is good friends with Dirk and was on TV all the time he has a lot of fans here.

One of my best friends is a huge Nash fan. :)

His age is irrelevant since he won't see the end of his contract. If Barbosa, or Vuajanic comes and develops, we won't pay that much for a back up point guard. He can help develop our guys now. Barbosa can learn how to play fast AND under control from Nash. Nash also had to develop a shot. He can teach that to Barbosa, too! :)

What exactly do you think is going to happen to him? Do you think it's going to be easy to trade him when he's making $13 million +? I sure don't.

Now before all of you guys jump on my case I'm not saying I don't like the acquisition. I'm just saying that I don't think even has a valid point here.
