Thank You Coach Whiz, I mean it, I seen 20 carries from The Bean from the first time, and yes I know more than I did before.
He did wear them down and they are a top rundefense too, but The Bean had them on the ropes at the end, case in point was he was finally in for more than 1 play in the 4th.
ripped a nice run on first down, followed by a 2nd down 3 1/2 yards and had 3rd and 1. Whiz called a Max Hall pass that got sputtered to the ground like an invisable raptor caught it and killed it in mid air.
If Whiz called the Bean 3 times in a row and He got the first down on 3rd and 1 late in the 4th with the lead, instead of stopping the clock and punting? The Saints would have been demoralized and The entire NFL would have raised an eyebrow.
the game would have been all but over with that first down that could have been, with less risk and more chance of a first down to finish the game.
THT got a couple short 3rd down calls and was smothered, but hey it happens. Beanie got a couple yards on the goal line before Mighty Max Hall got his head tooken off and fumbled the ball to smushdown Levi Brown for a TD.
I would like to see us start Beanie and pound it early and try once to set up the pass with the run, It would work just like it has for a century on other teams. He is still in and out-in and out like a yo yo.The Bean will wear out a ILB after 3-4 hits, they will not welcome Beanie carries come the middle of the 2nd 1/4.
to hell with situational football, FEED the BEAN and create the other teams situation! He puts pressure on the defenses.
And then THT can light them up with fresh legs. but Coach has yet to let RB be the engine on offense, he puts that in the hands of DA and Max now. They are the engine of this offense for better or worse.
