Id gladly take him over Celestine any day of the week.

At least he could provide some help on special teams too. Stupid move imo.

I was listening to Jurecki earlier this week, and he was talking about Celestine and that he's a better special teamer than Keyes...

DB Coach Deryl Austin coached Celestin in Seattle and has always liked him.

Last year when Celestin played SS in place of Adrian Wilson, he was way overmatched. His ST play is average, not great. But Austin likes him. So, we'll see. And don't forget, Celestin was the safety who was late getting to TE Kellen Winslow Jr. and clearly hit Winslow before the ball arrived causing Winslow to step out of bounds...which preserved a narrow win for the Cardinals.

Keyes will be a far better NFL player, IMO. He will be even better on STs and a more productive player in a team's base defense when called upon.

Yeah... "so clear" that they didn't call a force out.

The play was reviewed by the league's head of officiating on the NFL Network, and he said it was clearly the right call.

Cant believe we are calling this a stupid move. We are talking about 2 guys who depending on injuries wont even dress on Sundays.

They cut "Keyes" so they can fit into the lock. Evidently this key didn't fit.

Pfft. Because our coaches are stupid and want to get fired. Why else?

How stupid, are you expecting the coach to sign up and answer your question?:

There was a logjam at a few positions - notably WR, LB and DB. We couldn't keep everyone.

I hated to see us cut Keyes, Harrington and Long. I thought Adams played well enough to stick on many final rosters. And I'm worried about thin depth at center now that Ross is gone. And it was tough to see perennial cuttee (Tafoya) who always seems to reappear later in the season to help us win a game.

On the flip side, it was nice that Highsmith made it. I was also worried we'd lose Doucet.

Us Cards fans are not familliar with most of the draft picks making the team. If this was like any of the past years, Keyes would make the team. Hopefully he makes the practice squad or gets picked up by another team.

It may have come down to one simple thing Keyes is PS eligible; Celestin is not. By choosing Celestin over Keyes, the Cardinals are actually hoping to retain both.

Exactly. We will see what the staff was thinking when the practice squad is put together.
