How did that go? Did we set a record? Asking for a friend.
Nope but we still lost by 12. And were embarrassed by that complete lack of preparation on the opening drive. That’s really fun, no? You don’t think that’s fun??? Why not?

That opening drive happens to a lot of teams. We were in it late in the 4th quarter against a team that is 8 & 1. We being 2 & 6 & driving to score a go ahead touch down late in the 4th that NOBODY (using cheeses tactics of capitalizing words ;) ) thought we would be close in is big imo. We had a chance to win that game. Rookie qb & injured oline that was terrible & all.

Sorry my comment was lame as well.

But you didn’t address the question. You waived off the fact that our D wasn’t prepared by just saying “it happens to others” - I didn’t ask if it was unique, I asked about the actual happening. Ah forget it you’re not going to answer that.

Would like to see a logical defense of why Wilks should keep the job after today? To me Wilks at his best looks like a below average coach, how the hell can he return next year? What is the measurable progress this team has shown 10weeks in?

Nope. I was wrong.

See how easy it is to that is to do when you're wrong Cub? I promise if you ever did the same, you wouldn't spontaneously combust into flames.

I find it funny that people come to rub others’ noses in their statements after we suffer yet another double digit loss.

Isn't that exactly what your brother did by making his comment in this particular thread 56 seconds into the game?? Rubbing the OPs nose in his statement about Wilks saving his job?

You don't find it equally as funny people rush to be the first to make snarky comments about how bad a 2-6 football team, that we all know is bad?

Lol responding to a jerky “I told you so” comment is not instigating an “I told you so” comment . . . when you just lost by two scores.

And what “first to make snarky comment?” First thing I did after the game was start two threads. One about how bad Andre Smith is. One asking a question about others impressions of DJ. But whatever bro. You do you. Making friends.

Just for the record... I had no problem with Cub's comment. I definitely thought we were going to get annihilated, especially after that first drive.

What I do find odd is that @cardncubfan came here seemingly hoping to rub it in my face that we didn't lose by 50... as if that's what I WANTED to happen.

There's a disconnect some people here just can't make. Just because I think this team is going to get killed, doesn't mean I want them to.

I actually enjoyed watching a hard fought game today. Another learning experience for Josh, which is all this season needs to be.

This game was more proof that Wilks is going nowhere. We are already being sold the idea that Rosen and the offense improved. Surprisingly, they actually did win the time of possession and went a respesctable 7/14 on 3rd down.

Though I wish major overhaul was coming, more of the same is coming in 2019.

No way in hell does Wilks stay. This is just playing out the season. There is nothing D guru...leader of men Wilks can do to keep his job. Michael has this on countdown. The question is ..does Keim keep his?

Wilks definitely needs to go. I won’t lose any sleep, regardless whether Keim keeps his job or is shown the door.

Someone in our secondary missed their assignment so no they weren't prepared. Our D did hold the Chiefs to season lows in a few categories. But they were not ready when the opening whistle blew. You are correct.

He said it was the funniest thread ever & that we may set records for points against. I called him out on it. Nothing he hasn't done to me multiple times.

I didn't come here looking to do anything. I just read your post & responded.

Yup. Blissfully happy there was not a blow out though team lost by 12. And Cardinals need 4 starters (likely all 5) OL starters next year where are they going to find all 5 in one off season?
Why are we okay with a game because we didn’t look THAT bad? Wilks has moved the goalpost and now we’re happy with crap?

IMO Wilks will be back in 2019 and Leftwwich will be the OC. The priority in the draft and free agency will be the OL. Wilks will be on a short lease but I think Bidwill will bring him back for another year.
