Yep, that actually is IMO what is going to happen. In fact I think Bidwill will tell Keim and Wilks to fix it. If not both will be gone after the 2019 season. So basically like the Broncos this & last season.

He said it was the funniest thread ever & that we may set records for points against. I called him out on it. Nothing he hasn't done to me multiple times.
Why don't you just ignore these Toddler Kings? It makes the world a better place.
In the grand scheme of things, we would have been better off losing. This offense is offensive. I love winning, Wilks is delaying the inevitable.Well I thought I’d bring this thread back...So what do you think? Did a win in GB save his job?
Another meaningless win or two down the stretch may convince ownership that everything is headed in the right direction.
As much as I continue to hope for change I’m still skeptical MB will do anything after 1 season.

The only way Wilks saves his job this season is to string along a bunch of wins and looks exponentially more competitive. If he somehow finishes 6-10, I could see a situation in which Wilks is retrained.
i actually think that 4-12 will do it. If they beat the Lions and keep it within 14 points on the road with the Falcons, I think they'll say 4-12 and the team was kept together through the growing pains... etc., etc.
30-point beatdowns against the Rams and Seahawks could change that equation, tho.
What coach warranted firing after one year? BA improved from 5-11 to 10-6, Whiz 8-8 from 5-11, Green 6-10 from 4-12, McGinnis (first full year as HC) 7-9 from 3-13, Tobin 7-9 from 4-12, Ryan 8-8 from 7-9? Maybe Bugel who didn't improve in his first year 5-11 from 5-11. After one year as HC going 4-8 in 1953 Joe Kuharich wasn't back in 1954 maybe he was fired? Cant find anything saying why he left.Historically, the Cards just do NOT, as in ever, fire coaches after one year with multiple years on contract left.
Cannot believe this has gotten so much discussion. Just look at history. It does NOT happen.

Nothing has ever happened before — until it does. Doesn't mean that it CAN'T happen; just that it hasn't happened yet.
Here are the last 4 teams that won 4 or fewer games with the Cards:
Vince Tobin, 2000 - Fired in-season
Dave McGinnis, 2003 - Fired after season.
Whisenhunt and Denny Green were fired at the end of 5-11 seasons that maybe weren't as bad as this one.
I feel badly for Steve Wilks. He seems like a very nice man who got a rotten deal. There are growing pains that come with being a rookie head coach - maybe he should get another chance for 2019?
Don't @ me Chopper
