Here is the bottom line folks.......the league has approved WR's wearing a number other than that in the 80's if.....and only if, all the other numbers have been retired or are being worn by other players. Fitzgerald is not hung up on wearing a number that doesn't end in 1. He'll wear any number in the 80's that might come avaialable through an existing player in the 80's being cut!

I think that was the old rule.

What else to talk about. Dockett's rap sheet or Fitzgerald's number?

I remember Jim O saying something about players purchasing numbers that they want. I think that Emmitt Smith tossed some cash Starks's way for giving up #22.

I hope Emmitt didn't have to pay Starks.
If the water boy had asked Starks for #22 he should have had to give it up.. At least the water boy was on the field a few times.

88 was JV Cain's number.

To bring any newbies up to speed: JV was a highly regarded TE out of Colorado, drafted in the first round (#7) in 1974. He collapsed and died on the practice field during preseason drills in 1978. I believe the cause was a congenital heart defect.

Finish that progression off and you've got Pachebel's Canon, modulated up a whole step to the key of E

E - G#m7/D - C#m - B - A - E - A - B

Wash...repeat...

What the hell song are you referencing?

"I've been out walkin'" is also the beginning to Joe Satriani's "I Believe" off the Flying in a Blue Dream album...but not that chord progression.
