Will Raiders and Antonio Brown be better with Carr or Murray at QB for the Raiders? IMO I think the Raiders will be more exciting with a combination of Murray and AB than with Carr. Murray had a similar receiver at Oklahoma in Marquise Brown. They were quite a combination and AB is far superior. Just my two cents but I think Gruden would love to see the combo of Murray and AB. (so would the fans) I don't feel that he is that high on Carr. The answer to this will really determine if he will trade up for the Card's #1.

Not to mention Kyler/AB/Hollywood are all close.

what makes you think Gruden wants murray?? I live up here, grew up a raiders fan...entire fam is raiders fans....and nobody has gotten any signals that gruden is unhappy with Carr...even the fans love the kid. They were headed to the super bowl with carr right before he broke his leg.

if Gruden trades to #1 it will be to select Nick Bosa... that way he gets his Kalil Mack replacement and still has another 1 from the deal to improve his team while having his pass rusher on cost control.
like he said several times last season,.."those pass rushers dont just grow on trees"

At first glance I would say Carr because in Pitt Ben rothlisberger isn`t known as a scrambling QB and AB had good years with a Pocket QB.I have doubts about AB liking to improvise on the fly.AB likes to be in semi-control of the situation and sandlot/scrambling situations would force AB into just another option.I think Ab likes being the spotlight focus on him.

Agree.I think Oakland wants passrushers. With 3 1st round picks Gruden can get a Daniel Jones later in the 1st round if he wants.

I really don't know, just my feeling from mainly what the national media has said which is wrong most of the time.

Raiders were always my 2nd favorite team as a kid. If we’re dumb enough to pass on Murray, then I hope it’s the Raiders that land him. It’ll be like old times again watching the Raiders go to SB’s & the Cardinals eliminated by week 10:bang:

Doubt a flip of the 1st and 4th plus one of the late 1st rounders gets that deal done. It would take at least those two late fist rounders and I doubt he likes Bosa that much.

If they are unable to trade Carr I can see them having both Carr and Murray. It could be similar to a Alex Smith, Mahomes type of deal. I don’t think Carr will be much of a problem knowing they drafted his replacement. He’s getting paid $22 million this year.

If Carr plays well they can trade him, but if he doesn’t then his dead cap hit goes down to $5 million.
