What about the possibility of the salary cap being eliminated? Or are the Cardinals going to build from the draft.

Two things, first, with no salary cap teams will be able to keep their own players if they want to. Second, this year's free agent market will not be that great because teams will be able to lock up their best players. Anyways, Dansby and Rolle are IMO the best available LB & S available we should try and keep them in the fold. Draft whatever holes we have to fill.
Rolle is not a FA next season
4. In the uncapped year the top 8 teams are heavily restricted as to who they can get and how much money they can spend in free agency. Top 4 teams are even more heavily restricted. The gist of which being that team cannot sign another player unless they loss a player of equal value first. So the top 8 teams will pretty much not even partake in free agency at all. All they will be able to do is sign their own guys, trade, and the draft. Since its looking like we will be in that top 8, I suggest everyone here not get their hopes up of even signing a mid level free agent concerning the 2010 free agent period if it stays uncapped.
I was never a big believer in the free agency helping a team anyway. We have wasted a fortune over the years paying top dollar for so-called, can't fail players, that never played up to their press-clippings. I'd name a few but I forgot their names already. Not to say that you can't find a keeper once in awhile that slips below everyone's radar.
You're right. We'd totally be where we are today without free agents like Bert Berry, Bryan Robinson, oh and that Kurt Warner guy.
