Everyweek this season coach Whiz has tried to run a special play to catch the defense off guard.

We almost connected on the Rolle to Fitzgerald play, but the holding would have called it back anyway.

I loved the double running back reverse last week in Chicago where the first reverse man was faked too and he ended up being the lead blocker down the field and Breaston ended up almost getting caught in the backfield and just barely got away and ran for 27 yards and the blocking out front was beautifull. What a great play that was that Whiz drew up.

He loved doing that for Slash in Pittsburgh especially. He must have some Bobby Bowden in him somewhere.

My question...Since I don't know how to make a poll yet. Will our trick play this week for a lack of a better term be a running play or a passing play?

What cha' think?

Funny, I mentioned earlier today that a trick play is definitely in the Cards this weekend, my guess? Mr. Boldin will be throwing a pass.

Since the Seahawks ran that fake punt in the last game, You know he wants to get a trick play in on them

What?
Niether it will be a fake kick, well guess technically that would be a pass.

I'm voting pass play on a fake field goal.

Here Goes....

Rolle and Kreider deep in the Wildcat formation.

Kreider takes the direct-snap and heads for the LOS. Play looks like an inside run.

But just before he dives into the line, he rises up and hits a slanting Patrick with a spot-pass.

What should make this play work is that the MLB (Hawthorne) has to decide whether to stuff Kreider or cover Patrick. (My guess is that "since the play looks, walks, talks and quacks like a FB buck, the MLB will neglect Patrick in order to stop Kreider.

No trick plays this week. We should beat this team straight up.

Mentally, this may be the biggest game of our season. We need to get up for a team we have owned for the last couple of years. We need to reestablish our home field advantage and we need to maintain our 2 game lead over the 49er's.

No trick plays unless we are up by 21. I would rather save it for later.

Whiz has used the pooch kickoff in three different games and it should have been successfull in the bears game but our recover guy just did'nt hold onto the ball.

I wonder if that is a called play or Rackers has the green light if he sees a team playing too far back to cover it? Its a great skill that Rackers possesses to be able to do that and also the great onsides kicks that Rackers can also make.So glad we have him on ourside.

I can picture a WILDCARD not wildcat play with Beanie getting the straight snap and if he does'nt see his whole or at least a good 10 yards he then goes ahead and gives the ball the breaston on an end around. He could fake that end around and keep it and run but,the option will be his.

So I'm calling a run play with Beanie as the key on an end around play also.Teams will be keying on Breaston on the end around after his large gainer last week.

Beanie is still learning to pass block as even the announcer of the game showed the film over again of Beanie's first pass block last week in the Bears game and he is'nt even in the same league as Hightower in the way he does it.Hightower can read and pick up a middle blitzer and send him to the ground.Beanie just tried to bend over and get in the guys way and he jumped over him.Warner was able to get the ball away JUST in time though.

I'm quite sure this is why Beanie has been slow to hit the field on every kind of play we run.Learning to block can be hard for a guy who never did it in college.Picking up a free blitzer is another special ability to catch the guy early and before he disrupts the pocket too.Hightower is awesome at doing that.Thats why he starts the games.Beanie is coming along nicely though this season and I hope is up to full speed by playoff time.
