I am buying it because I finally have a ps2 when a cool game comes out and I want to play that feature where you can type in what your parents are and become a player and work your way up to hall of fame status. I dunno, Assface showed me the link and I thought it was pretty cool!

Nope. It looks like Madden 2006 is going to be almost exactly the same as Madden 2005, which was exactly the same (except for shoulderpad shading) as Madden 2004, and Madden 2004 was only a slight upgrade over 2003 and 2002, so....

No. Besides, I still have NFL2k5, which plays and looks better than Madden. Yeah, I don't get the new Cards jerseys, but oh well. The next time I buy a football game is when one comes out on the Xbox 360.

I just saw a preview on it. I guess they have a feature that is like the Sims, where you control a created player off the field. Sounded pretty cool.

This game is ALOT different from Madden of old. Just look at the superstar mode and the new QB passing mode. I think its worth the money

Madden and EA are crap. Eliminate the competition, then jack the price back up. Last year's Madden was 29.99. This years? 49.99? RIP ESPN Football, the only football game worth playing, and only 20 bucks...

Sounds like good business, to me.

Personally, I prefer the EA game play to ESPN.

Madden has been 49.99 for years, the dropped the price last year after a month, but they were still destroying ESPN in sales.
