Like your sig...

Maybe you can put FA's on the first row and draftees on the second row.

Im going to go balls out. Probably all draft picks and UDFAs. Im dedicated to this :D

Plus, I dont want it to take up too much vertical space.

One more item of note on Dan Williams. Monte is known to play around with the 3-4 look from time to time so I assume that Williams has at least been introduced to it and played a few snaps in the 3-4 look while at Tennessee.
Yes, he said so in his phone interview that he has played in both formations.

Scouting reports are incredibly inconsistent. Some say he takes plays off, some say he has a non-stop motor.

Ok, does anyone else think DW is kind of like a faster, more agile Dockett? Better "at the line" moves, but same overall feel for the play?

That is NOT a disparaging comment, either. I think DD is a monster that MUST be doubled at all times. With DW, I don't know how I'd game against the two of them. FFS, you are looking at two guys who could legit be given a double...not enough OL to do that.

I think DW and DD will be incredibly disruptive..and we couldn't have selected a better cohort.

Love the pick as well. I was hoping that he would be there.

Donald, teams were double teaming CC last season. Williams, kept fresh by being spelled by Watson, is going to make our d-line a real nightmare for DC's.

Yep. Dockett already requires a double team on every play. Campbell is close. If Williams can play, then it will be a pick your poison for offensive coordinators.

Anyone else notice the surprising amount of tackles that Williams accumulated? 70 tackles for a nose tackle is amazing. Even NTs like Vince Wilfork and Casey Hampton never tallied that many in a single season. Hell, Hampton hasnt ever hit over 43 in his 10yr career. We may have covered both our NT and ILB needs in the same pick ;)

Agree Donald... and, if Campbell continues his development, he too will be someone who would legititmately require double-teaming...

The first statement in this post - :doi:

NINE-O is one of the quickest off the snap DL in the entire NFL. Williams faster and more agile than Dockett? :Seinfieldvoice: - I don't think so!

Yeah, probably not. I did mean that Dockett has better off the line moves, not Williams, though.

I just look at DW and I see Dockett. They move in a similar fashion, though dock is more svelte.

Williams is going to wear #92 for the Cards. Hopefully the Cards found their NTOF. That D line is going to be a nightmare.

Watched a little of the Green Bay playoff replay I had recorded last night.

Williams is going to be a huge upgrade over Robinson in the middle. Robinson just didn't have the bulk and got pushed around far more than Watson did.

Having two wide bodied guys in the NT rotation is going to make an even bigger difference in the defense than may think.

I also had forgotten how few snaps Calais played in that game.

Thanks for the research. I too had forgotten about CC's injury.

Yup. I keep reading from 90% of posters how worried everyone is about the corners because of the "90 points we gave up in two games" but to me the difference in pass coverage in the regular season (which was pretty good) to the playoffs (which was terrible) was the lack of pass rush against two teams that were pretty vulnerable against a good pass rush.

That and DRC's injury in week 17 and the NO game were the biggest culprits rather then just having crap players in the secondary.

We disagree.

Sincerely,

Anyone who saw Michael Adams or Ralph Brown play in the secondary.
