If we're leading then I'm fine with it. Someone needs to score and Booker is more than capable. No one else is picking up the slack so let Booker go for 60.

I don't want it to become his game though. I'm still hoping for team basketball when the Suns add a point guard.

Ayton and Booker can’t be off the floor at the same time

Bender! I almost feel bad giving him a hard time. When he does shoot, because he's forced to, he can hit it. He can't think about it though.

Of course not. Unfortunately the only one in the world who doesn't get that happens to be the head coach. It's been a problem all season.

When Bender flashes I keep thinking why can't he do it more often.

I don't think the Suns did him any favors having Watson coach him his rookie year but he had Triano last year and Igor this year and he regressed this year. I do wonder how he might have looked if Triano had run training camp instead of Watson last year. That was something that's overlooked when last season is discussed. We wasted a training camp with all of our players like Jackson, Bender, and even Chriss. At least Booker was enough of a name he had people to work with outside of the Suns organization prior to camp so it didn't hurt him as much but I still think he'd be further along if Triano had coached all of last season, including camp and preseason.

It will have to be an incredibly strong on-court de facto coach a la Steve Nash. Igor is too feeble and passive to instill anything as an NBA head coach.

He'd also be further along if Triano had coached this season. I don't think Triano is a great coach, but he is 1,000 times the head coach Igor is.

Not sure I would say that he regressed this year, but he just actually got the playing time that he truly deserves this year. If he was still being gifted the same amount of playing time as he was last year than he would probably look at least slightly better than last year.

The coaching changes certainly didn't help. It's hard to know if he improves once he goes elsewhere.

Do the Suns like a fast pace or what. A reminder of days past.

Thomas Bryant really wants it. He has 12 points and 16 rebounds.

He will become an UFA.

I can see that side of it but I think he regressed with his shooting. Last year he seemed to shoot better, when he did shoot, but this year it's almost better when he passes up the shots because he misses so many. Last year defenses needed to pay some attention to him as he shot 36.6% from 3 and this year he's shooting 20%. He attempted 322 last season to only 73 this year, headed into tonight's game, and I know that's not many but I think missing so often when he does shoot has kept him from attempting a few more. I think it was the second half of last season when he would willingly take 3's, even when he had a clear path to the basket, but he's reverted to playing like he did in the first half of last season when he passed up everything.

One of the best things about Booker playing like he is tonight is how Crawford is playing like an actual PG when he's been on the court with him. Crawford is still old and sucks but I'd rather see him play in close minutes like now compared to Melton.
