Expect the Eagles to go on 4th down at least 5 times on Sunday. When Pederson is confident, no coach is as ballsy as he is in that regard. No matter the injuries, the Eagles will be a handful. Their D line will embarrass our O line. Murray better be able to scramble on Sunday. If he escapes, he may run for 100.

We always struggle more against scrambling qb’s, the switch to Hurts was for the Cards. Expect Vance not to put pressure on him. Expect him to Hurt us on runs. I hate this matchup. Zane will miss come field goals.

After watching analysis of Hurts debut, Eagles of course used a bunch of stuff from OU playback to make him comfortable. You see a lot of mesh concepts etc. Our damn offense was basically build off that playbook so coaches should know whats coming, no excuses.

The issue last week was that Saints refused to put a spy on Hurts & continued to play a lot of man. They did eventually adjust in second half & hold Eagles to 7 pts. Also the Saints offense got held to no pts & 98 yards in 1st half while going down 17 which didn't help they cause

You would think practicing against Murray would help, too!

We have tattoo every NFC East team so far, so the Eagles are next on the docket... the Niners, and especially the Rams, are another story

Outside of streghthening their chances of a playoff spot, the second reason I want them to win is to witness yet another EDP meltdown:

If you figured that out, hopefully our coaching staff did too.

The NFL playoff picture is taking shape. Here’s how it looks after the latest slate of games:

AFC

1. Chiefs (12-1) Clinched the AFC West.

2. Steelers (11-2) Clinched playoff berth.

3. Bills (10-3) Big lead in the AFC East.

4. Titans (9-4) Owns the division record tiebreaker over Indianapolis.

5. Browns (9-4) Closing in on a return to the playoffs.

6. Colts (9-4) Still a chance in AFC South.

7. Dolphins (8-5) Still a chance in the AFC East.

***

8. Ravens (8-5) Game clear of rest of but loses tiebreaker on conference games to Miami.

9. Raiders (7-7) 1.5 games out in the wild card.

10. Patriots (6-7) Very unlikely to return to the playoffs.

11. Broncos (5-8) An extreme long shot to make the postseason.

12. Chargers (5-9) Mathematically eliminated.

13. Texans (4-9) Mathematically eliminated.

14. Bengals (2-10-1) Mathematically eliminated.

15. Jaguars (1-12) Mathematically eliminated.

16. Jets (0-13) Mathematically eliminated.

Edmonds..... Yes. Pugh, not so much IMO.

I really have a bad "Tua level" feeling about this one.

We should have 9 or 10 wins already. This crap is so damn frustrating.

Why should we? Cause we lost close games like every other team?

Two other things that piss me off.

1pm est kickoffs are much worse on the body than a 1pm west coast kickoff for an east coast team. Some scientist somewhere needs to quantify the gap in importance for us.

Our 4pm est start time usually means I miss the 2nd most important game of the week from an NFL fan perspective. I would have loved to catch the Saints/Chiefs game this week!

ok. Rant over.

Edmonds out all week and game time decision is a concern earlier in the week I figured he'd play, now it's possible he won't. Ward was active last week will be curious to see if Edmonds can't go who does, Ward or Benjamin or even Foster. Means more work for Drake and maybe more out of the backfield but we would really miss Chase's ability to explode quickly.

Man I wish Jalen Thompson was going to play his athleticism would be huge against Hurts.

I don't get the Pugh hate around here.

He's easily been one of most consistent performers. You pretty much never hear anyone say "Pugh sucked today. He got badly beat by X". He just goes out there and does his job.

Granted, not a great run blocker but he's a solid guy for us.

I think we win easily on Sunday. 32-21.

I wouldn't call it hate. More of a...... We got a couple guys who can fill in adequately at that position type vibe.

Chase has been a good jack of all trades piece that is hard to scheme for. Drake could see 25 to 30 touches in this game if he is out and I worry about his ability to stay healthy with that volume.

And I wish I had that type of faith. We do not fare well against new QB's, or young QB's. This year or most years for that matter.

Have to play Simmons more this week not just for Hurts running but for his passing. The Eagles threw SIX passes to Wr's in the entire game against the Saints, the TE's and RB's are guys he's comfortable throwing to. I watched quite a bit of that game he took short drops he moved around and got the ball out, the Saints have maybe the best pass rush in the NFL, and had 0 sacks on him most young mobile QB's hold the ball too long, he didn't. So Simmons ability to run with RB's and TE's could be huge. also of note in the time I watched there were at least 3 balls Hurts threw that COULD have been picked off with a better play by the defender, if he throws them to us, we have to catch them.

Also name to watch guy I loved in college has missed 5 games with injuries and still getting going but be VERY careful when punting to Jalen Reagor he took one back for a TD 2 weeks ago over 70 yards. he's still raw but he's VERY dangerous, if you can kick away from him.
