Maybe he wasn’t ready last year but the seasoning got him here. Kinda difficult to argue with the results of bringing him and Simmons along slowly. We know that worked. But we don’t know if exposing them earlier would’ve ruined their confidence or allowed them to fly.
You are correct that we don't know what would have happened if these players would have received more snaps sooner. I haven't dug into Murphy's stats to see if they are significantly different last year to this year. I did do that with Simmons and his stats were pretty similar which to me indicates that he is mostly the same player in terms of production.

Keep seeing a lot of the media saying this could be a 40 burger game. Peter Shrager today said it could be 50.

I just don't see that with the TNF game vs GB. If this gets to 27-10 in Q3. Maybe even 24-10. Then I expect to see a lot of Colt McCoy, Jonathan Ward, Vallejo and Elliott etc.

I don't see them keeping starters out enough to make it a huge win. That's why that 17 point line might be a closer call than people think.

I really just want to get out of it with a win and no injuries.

Doesn't seem like the Packers have all that tough of a game this Sunday either. They're hosting Washington.

No team takes out their starters only up 24/27-10 in the third quarter. That’s totally unrealistic. Hell, 24-10 late in the fourth and starters would still be out there.

Against the Texans averaging 15 points per game with a TNF game coming up against a fellow NFC contender? Sure they would.

I'm not talking at half time. I'm talking 5 minutes to go in Q3 kinda time.

This is a good point actually.

Cards have won every toss and put the defense out first. Have yet to see the offense open a game. Be interesting to see if it makes a difference. Be good to get one out of the way vs the Texans.

I don't mind it being a 3-4 TD score game, somewhat like 31-7 as a final, with their lone TD coming via a RB screen to none other than our former #31.
Of course, I don't mind a shut out either... but this will be the least stressed going into a game in a while :stick:

That’s patently ridiculous. Have you not watched football for that long? Teams don’t rest their starters in the third quarter of any game within two or three scores unless it’s totally meaningless, like in the last week or two of the season and they’ve already clinched a 1 seed.

Saying otherwise has literally no basis in reality.

I mean, seriously, who is going to pay $24 for a picture of a guy who never played a real game for the team?!

Cardinals LB Chandler Jones is back in the building, DC Vance Joseph said. It’s now a matter of how much Jones can play or if he can be even play Sunday against the Texans.

Vance Joseph said the Cardinals are ready to drop Kliff Kingsbury into his normal role if he is cleared by Saturday, or Sunday, or ready if he isn’t available for the game at all. Kingsbury has created the game plan and taken part in all meetings this week over Zoom.

Yeah the same player as he was by the end of the season when Vance decided he was ready. That’s not indicative him actually being ready earlier than that in the year. Game 15 play isn’t a good predictor of how he would’ve played in game 4.

Won’t pull kyler with just two score lead in 3rd quarter. No pro coach would ever do that.

Good news on Chandler. If he’s not ready for Sunday at least it’s likely that he’ll be ready to go for GB.

This isn’t a meaningless week 16 game.
