Well here are the notes:

We played pretty well, We still lost though.

The Bad:
Jose Valverde, he came in walked the first 3 batters, then gave up a home run.
Acevedo is terrible.

The Good:
Gonzo's defense was pretty good, made a nice sliding grab on a Helton hit.

EDIT: Luis Terrero looked really good at the plate, he smacked the ball.

Just got home from the game vs the Rangers. Ortiz was terrible- lasted less than 3 innings. Couldn't seem to locate anything, just seemed like the focus was on velocity, not location. We ended up leaving early, that's a first for me. Sitting there freezing my butt off watching Little League caliber type play. Craig Counsell and Royce Clayton seemed like robots tonight- Craig didn't have his usual hussle and instincts going for some reason... Gonzo was playing so far infield toward center field that the entire left field was usually wide open. Guess he needs to cover most of his side of center right now- Jose Cruz sure can't. Made a real boneheaded drop early on.
Bright spot- Glaus's 2 run homer. His delivery was real nice. That will be nice if he can get things going with Gonzo in front of him. Koppy pitched a couple of good solid innings. Conner Jackson looked good from the only at bat I saw. Got a decent hit. My overall impression is that they need to do some serious work on fundamentals at this point. The middle infield really couldn't hold things together tonight.
