The Cards defense is going to struggle all year. They have a terrible LB unit. Alexander is a special teams player. Brinkley is a backup on most teams. Dansby, I love the guy, but he is a backup level player at this point in his career. Acho, is just not that good. He's a fringe NFL player.

Both teams the Cards have played so far have exploited the their LB's with short passes and that will likely continue all year. The Cards LB's lack speed and aren't good tacklers. DWash will help but he's not going to be able to compensate for the others lack of playmaking ability.

Dansby, DWash & Brinkley are better than average IMO on the inside.

Now OLB...whole different animal. We continue to try & get by on the cheap with laster round picks & FAs which isn't gonna cut it. Jeez, we've let soooooo many potential edge rushers pass us by early in the last 3 drafts.

Well it doesn't help that your Impact players are having no impact. And our secondary is exactly what we expected. You just can't have as much turnover in players and coaches as we have and win.

Which is why Arians slit his own throat by firing Horton & hiring an unproven DC in Bowels. He could've schemed this unit into a top 10 unit & sack team even though we don't have those guys.

How's that going in Cleveland?

Put Don Coryell with Weeden & you would have the same issues trust me.

Did you ever see the Cards offense when Steve Pisarkiewicz filled in for Jim hart?

And we are missing our best defensive player, so what is your point?

You must be a pretty negative guy dude. Dansy graded out as the 11th best ILB overall last year by PFF. Not to say they are always right, but their opinion is much fore valid than yours. Acho is by no means a pro-bowler but i trust him and hes solid. The new guys i dont know too much about yet, but Minter has looked good so far and Dwash is top 3 in the league.

There are arguements to be made bra, but "worst in the league"?? Thats ludacris!!

He thought Dansby had the pick and hesitated.

He gave up, but either way, my point is the defense was inches from holding this high scoring offense to 7 points. That is on par with Horton's defense from last year.

Your point has nothing to do with my point. :D

I'm not the one saying we have the worst unit in the league, I think our ILBs are pretty good, including Dansby who I think still is a pretty good player given all the m2m Bowles is asking these guys to do.

They played much better after a rough beginning. Credit is due for them keeping the game close & allowing us to get a win. A much better game IMO is going to be needed for a W next week, though I think we can beat the Taints.

Getting D Wash back will help

But they really need a guy with some speed and athleticism on the outside to pair with him

I like Sam Acho, but Sam can't be the 2nd most athletic LB you have.

The Cardinals are a bad football team. Old and slow with a couple of rookie exceptions. Too bad we can't play the Lions every week. We'd be 16-0. We beat those clowns last year with that horrendous team.

Enjoy today. It will be like last year. An island of glee in an ocean of disaster.

Yep, just like Steve Smith owns the Cards as well as his Panthers ;)

Talk about a Cardinals killer...he could have a broken leg & toe on his other foot and score 2 TDs & have 178 yds receiving against us
