James Jones is not doing anything.

Unless something falls in his lap, the team is not changing for the rest of the season.

I agree although I suspect this bothers you a lot more than it does me. I don't really see anything for him to do right now unless something just falls into his lap. If they buy out someone like Drummond, I believe he'll make a hard pitch for him but he's not going to throw away future assets for marginal gains (Aaron Gordon, LMA etc.).

I think the Suns are a decent playoff team. A lot of their success will depend on how the three ball falls.

It depends. I think we were looking like a decent playoff team, now we're looking like a team lucky to have a several game cushion over the non-playoff teams.

We used to have a DA that would play almost 32 minutes a game while positively impacting it for about 12 minutes a night. Fans here would go ballistic over the 20 minutes a night he was a non-factor. Now, we have a DA that plays 30 minutes a game and positively helps the game about 2 minutes a night. Fans are still ranting about him but this team with the current version of DA is likely a one and done playoff team with a solid chance of playing themselves into a play-in spot.

This was brought up on the Timeline podcast. If you ask me I don’t even hesitate to pull the trigger on this.

save the whole we are real contenders now because we aren’t.
OK. I will save it. No need to respond to this thread now, except to say that I think this trade not only does not make us contenders, it makes us worse than we are now.

lol knowitalls who know so little. It's okay to have a different opinion, but acting like a knowitall jerk all the time tends to rub people the wrong way. I have no narrative to peddle, I simply want the Suns to win.

Watch our games from a month ago and then watch the Suns since just before the break. And then tell me we look like the same team. Hopefully it's just DA adjusting to stress of his GF's (?) late stage pregnancy followed by the newborn in his life but he's been a shell of his former self for awhile now.

His numbers don't tell the whole story, they don't show how invisible he's been on defense the past 6 games but even his numbers indicate decline - he's averaged 12 points and 8 rebounds over the past 6 games. He's playing fewer minutes which contributes to his declining stats but it also shows his declining value to the team.
