Would you do this trade?

Would you trade Tyran Mathieu for a mid 2nd Rd. Pick?

  • I'm down for the 2nd and getting some cash for retaining Calais

  • No way I'm parting with the Honey Badger

Trade Tyrann Mathieu for a 2017 mid 2nd Rd. pick?

It also potentially gives the Cardinals a chance to re up CC.

Just putting it out there. ;)

In a heart beat. Got to think with your mind not your heart. Undersized and two major knee injuries doesn't really look good long term.

Another reason why this wasn't well thought out. The Cards would LOSE cap space as the team would take on more dead money than what Badger costs against the cap by remaining on the team.

Badger 2017 cap hit = $ 8.1mil
Dead money if cut/traded = $17.1mil

man... y'all have a lot of faith in a guy who in 4 years in the league, has literally never played a full 16, had two ACL tears, shoulder injury that kept him out of 6 games this year and ended him on IR and was even banged up in his only season that didn't end with IR in 2014.

I absolutely love Honey Badger but he hasn't proven that he can be healthy. A 2nd round pick to get rid of his contract would be worth it.

He was having an all pro season in his third year before getting injured.

damn it has been 4 years already seems like yesterday we drafted him.

Either way he's never been as good as he was his rookie year. He's trending down. He's undersized and has blown out both knees this is the deepest secondary draft ever. If this deal ever came up you'd be crazy not to do it in my opnion

He was first team All-Pro in his third season. Really bad.

Dude I thought last year was his 3rd year relax it was a mistake.... Cause he was not good last year

+1.

Guys has had D.P.O.Y. potential.....for all of 14 games in his career.

Right now he is an overpaid nickel cornerback with limited coverage skills until he proves otherwise.

I like the man, but I think the player may be starting to get overhyped.

Nothing would make me happier than being proved wrong, FYI.

His 3rd year was all pro. To state his rookie year was his best is simply inaccurate

Ok last year wasn't his 3rd year we've established this. Was he good last year? The answer is no

No, but you keep saying over and over that his rookie year was his only good year. We were not talking about last year.

Incorrect.

Yes last year, after a major knee operation, was a down year. I expect this year to be a big one now that he is healthy. If he gets injured again, start these talks. Until then, you keep him. It is an easy decision.

This year he has to prove he can stay healthy
When he is 100% is our best player
