Would you name your child after a fictional movie character?

i am purprised there are not a lot of late teen early 20's Luke and Leias brother sister combos out there

If wifey and I have another kid, I'm gonna name me kid after an ASFNer.

So far, if it's:

a girl = assface;

a dude = djaughe

My wife named one of our dogs "mia" after the Pulp Fiction character

My other dog, the rot is Indie, I tell everyone he is named after Indiana Jones, but in reality my ex named him that when she gave him to me many years ago and named him after the skate company.

And to further show my geekhood, I'll even correct my own earlier post to show you that "Kal-El" is hyphenated.

One of the names that we have on the short list for our boy due in Sept is "Calvin." One of the things that I haven't shared with my wife is that when you shorten it to Cal it's for all intents and purposes the same as "Kal."

Well, color me blonde--sorry, Pariah! I am still learning the lingo... And for what it's worth, I voted for Calvin on the poll, and I'm a fan of Smallville!
