That's funny. My friend is a smoker, and smokes pot regularly also and he is more athletic than me and doesn't have any conditioning problems.

Rasheed Wallace doesn't seem to have conditioning problems either. He is already at a star player level.
Smoking pot or not. He is a good player either way.

Just think how much better he would be if he wasn't a pot head. This goes to show where his committments are as far as I am concerned. If he really wanted to be the best that he can be, he wouldn't be taking drugs.

in truth it doesnt matter what the rest of us feel about the use of pot or other drugs. JC and the suns have shown that if you use drugs you are you are not going to stay with team. this team learned this in 87 and then agian with dumas. and you can clearly see it with cliff robinson.

The reason that marijuana is illegal in this country and nicotine is not is that the tobacco industry has dozens of congressmen bought and paid for. Simple research on the internet will tell you that marijuana is no worse for you than nicotine. It is surely less addictive and proportionately costs far fewer lives. Its reputation as a "gateway" drug to other illegal narcotics is fueled by hysterical conservatives whose pockets are lined by tobacco money. No scientific research supports the claim.

Of course athletes will perform less well after smoking marijuana. They also perform less well after smoking regular cigarettes. I don't know how many NBA players smoke tobacco, but you can make the same "how much better could they be" argument about them as you can with the marijuana users.

I do think Rasheed Wallace has a serious attitude problem, but pointing to his marijuana use is a weak argument.

I think Wallace is going to stay in Detroit. He is a lot better than Okur and may not be all that more expensive. If they sign Sheed and drop Okur, they still have Darko as their future inside guy.
