I'm not a fan of creating one hole to fill another.

This draft is filled with power backs. I'm leaning more towards just drafting one in the first 3 rounds. Gordon, Gurley, Coleman, Ajayi, and Yeldon all seem like they'd be upgrades in the power back role. Rather than paying AP, we could spend the money to address our defensive needs making it easier to draft a back.

I'd trade Fitz for AP. It would be a good salary for salary deal and gets Larry back home. Would be a good PR move for the Vikings, and a great one on the field for the Cards.

Of course the Vikings would never do it because AP still has a few good years left, while Fitz is just about done. Minnesota can get more.

usually a possession receiver like fitz could play pretty well till 35 and a rb at 30 is almost done

Actually, that is not true. All of Fitz's bonus money gets accelerated to this year and we would actually need to create more cap space by making that trade.

Is it true that the Vikings want a 1st round pick for AP or is that just their fans talking? Why are we so enamored with a 30 year old running back?

They may want a 1st. I want to hit the powerball and think I have a better chance of hitting than them getting a one.

I would trade a 3rd at max for him. No players. No first rounder. No second rounder. Prefer a 4th or 5th.

I am a fan of Floyd, and he is at least a proven commodity which I believe will get better... the draft is a crap shoot, trade a draft pick for Peterson :)
