If they’re not going to bring in another WR, then they damn well better go out and get a CB or two before the draft. 7 picks are not going to fill out the numerous holes on this roster and you certainly cannot count on UDFAs.

Here are the needs IMHO:

QBOTF
WR 2
WR 3
TE
C
RT 1
DT
DE 3
MLB
S 3
CB 2
Slot CB
Maybe they want to see how the draft shakes out first. To be super flexable in the early rounds. There should be players available after the draft to sign for depth at the positions. Obviously if they don't sign another starter, WR and CB become pretty high prioroties. Every thing else is secondary. But if you throw in a QBOF prospect in there your only looking at 2-3 more impact rookies possibly. Hense the talk of them trading down and picking up an extra 2nd rounder.

Pretty sad when it's rather disastrous that we couldn't sign a player like Matthews. We're in sorry shape.

If you had a choice between the Cards & the Pats which would you choose right now if you wanted a chance at a ring?

Oh, I'm not blaming Matthews, or us for not managing to get him. I'm saying it's a commentary on how awful our WR corps is that not getting Matthews is such a blow.

I suspect it is more a matter of the Cards not being a glamour destination. Does AZ have state income tax? Florida does not and Jax, Tampa and Miami get an advantage because of this.

Yeah, but AZ has the weather, year-round golfing, etc. No, the WR position woes fall squarely on Keim. He's let it get to this point over the course of several seasons, and he's absolutely not addressing the position adequately--even with the copious cap space we've had. And that's just the WR position, disregarding our OTHER gaping roster holes.

Yet the QBs seem to get all of the blame, some deservedly. Every QB on the carousel can hook up with Fitz. It's the other WRs.
