14 ARIZONA CARDINALS (2-2) Last week's rank: 22 Total points: 185

Notes: How does using two quarterbacks work for Ken Whisenhunt? It's a mystery to most, but the rookie Cardinals coach, looking more like a guy trying to keep his job than one building a team, seems to have the recipe.

Freakin' idiots who have ZERO clue :bang:

If Wisenhunt weren't a rookie, he would be getting a lot more grief that he has gotten.

He is not in jeopardy of losing his job, but using 2 QB's does look a little desperate, you must admit that.

We are all just glad that it is working.

Well, considering the talent on the team, I'm sure the Bidwills told him 'we expect to win now.'

Portland Oregon these days.
Sorry - but this is utter rubbish. A coach can't be on the hotseat after 4 games of his total head-coaching career. Especially if he just beat a heavily favored Steelers team to go 2-2.

Actually, they've been giving the Cardinals a lot of feature coverage of late, and it's been fairly upbeat and objective.

But the national media (which is typically disinclined to dig for interesting news) has evidently decided to opt for laziness by making a bigger deal about the "easier" story to cover - i.e. The Two-Headed-Monster. (After all, it's easier for these guys to bloviate about "what they'd think" about 2 QB's than it is to discuss the other less sexy stuff that it takes to win or lose football games).

Lost in the static are: Darnell Dockett ranking second in sacks, the defense holding opposing runners to under a 100 yards per game, our #3 "sacks-allowed" ranking, and Fitz and Q chalking up a combined 48 grabs for 601 yards in four games.

So long as the 2-QB system works, there really shouldn't be an issue. (After all, as a priority, "winning football games" should trump "soothing egos" and, so far, the Lucky & Lefty Show has been effective on the field).

You are misinterpreting what he said. He said that he is "looking" like a coach on the hotseat, not that he is.

The 2 headed QB monster looks a little desperate, and this is coming from a diehard Cards fan.

I agree with Dreamcast, you misunderstood what the writer is trying to say.

What I believe he is saying is based on personal moves (2 head QB) and play calling (going for it on 4th, passing long an 1st, onside kick, etc) he "LOOKS" like a coach desporately trying to keep his job.

He says that because most new coaches are consertivite and boreing. They usually just want to go along with the herd and not get fired.

I like the risk Wiz is taking. He's pulling out all the stops to try and win now. We need to remember this and NOT "Toss him under the bus" when one of these moves backfires, because I'm really liking this coach.
