Considering the Coach started Skelton over Kolb I would say it doesn't actually say anything about Bartel.

I've had trouble reconciling this myself. Several of the posters here talk about what a two-faced lying scum Whiz is but most analysts and former players refer to him as a players coach. Something doesn't fit. Player coaches don't play mind games as he's often accused of doing and two-faced coaches are usually destroyed in the press.

It probably has a lot to do with the fact that none of us actually see what's going on behind the scenes. So we see a player being benched or whatever the case may be and we are pretty much forced to make assumptions.

Sure, and I can understand the assumptions. But, one person gives that observation life and before you know it, it's being spread around as truth.
